had another look at that map sensor. it says webber marrelli. is this the same? will it work with omex?
i can fit an FPR to the F7R rail yeah but im unsure as to wether the standard one is up to the job. i cant even remember if it has a vac input on it.
my plan was to use a walbro pump in the...
ill get that map sensor now then.
if the FPR is in the tank then i should imagine theres no way to get a vac line there. and is there a facility for it to accept it?
hence me looking for an adjustable or rising rate one thats reccomended.
inmjectors is another thing i need lol. think i need 550cc
ok will look for one of those map sensors.
its going in a megane that was previously a 1.6 so i dont think its up to the job (plus its in the tank)
tbh i could do with a bit of educating when it comes to FPR's as i dont know what im looking for or at. i know what it does and i know how it does...
im building an F7R turbo and i currently need a
map sensor (3 bar i bilieve)
FPR (adjustable or rising rate?)
and a walbro 255 fuel pump
can anyone tell me where the best place to get these is?
and best makes/what to get etc?
cheers
ahh right. cant remember now tbh. but around the 9 mark is sufficient info for me :)
isnt it better for a lower CR for turbo tho? as in down in the 8's?
i was after general information on engine capacities but if you want something to do.
my meg F7R with 83mm low compression pistons and a 1mm thick HG', compression ratio lol?
makes sense now!
how do i find out the unswept capacity?
also by that im assuming when we talk about 2 litre engines or 1.8's were talking about swept capacity not total capacity?
lucky its boosted then ;)
only reason i ask is because on the tech data of the pistons it had the value:
-13cc
which to me says its taking 13cubic centimeters out of the capacityu of the engine?
could be completley wrong mind you!
nice one!
no idea how you worked it out lol. will do a search now
bit of a noob question here too...
does the fact they are low comp pistons take away from that final figure?
something rings a bell about there not being enough room to play between bores and oil galleys etc... maybe thats why its not done.
i know the F7R's are done if fitting new pistons. had mine done as it happens
yes of course but if you get 225 bhp and you go for a spireted drive your not exacxtly going to be thinking about how fragile the box is are you? and if you do itl take the spirit of the drive away.
always feathering the throttle to not damage the box, easy downshifts to care for it. only once...
