theres a little tray at the bottom of the picture where the docking station is going
i dotn want that, at the risk of sounding lazy, thats too much effort lol.
i just want to put the phone in a holder not faff about loking for charging leads and jack leads etc and have it do evrything i want. plus like i said no usable vents
lol knock yourself out :P
i have a £5 in the shed and thats broken a few times, not to mention its cheap and plasticky :P perhaps i should have forked out the extra £3 lol
that m2 mount was looking good until you had to swivel it in :( lol
i havent got any vents in a good place for your conventional PDA holder. plus i want to put my phone in the car onto this dock where its connected to my stereo and forget about it untill its time to get out of the car
thats not a bad idea! would mean having velcro on the back of my phone then tho...
i only thought magnet because of how simple it would be to drop it in the cradle and pull it out again
doesnt fit in where i want it to. basically i have a docking station that im putting in the car so the only thing that would hold it in against the forces in the car (cornering, braking etc) is the charging plug. i was hoping to have a magnet behind the phone and a metal strip behind the case so...

my F7R looks diffrent to that...
taps the size i need are fooking expensive! for somethign ill never use again it seems a bit of a waste. i cant see it being a problem right at the top of the sump? theres only about an inch diffrent to wag1's above then...
as above mate i havent got a drill or tapp big enough to drill the block. the sump i can take into work and drill it on the pillar drill then just take it to a machine shop with the correct tapp
you are right, but if its high enough i can see that being much of a problem...
i have an F7 ;) but the engine has been built and run in so taking it apart to drill the block is a no go. hindsight tells me i should have drilled it before i built it but meh :(
thats a good idea! i didnt think of that, ive only been thinking about drilling and tapping the block which cant be done as its built.
might do it tomorrow! cheers. cant bilieve i hadnt thought of it before!
right this is the only thiong stopping me from sticking the engine in my car now so i need some help.
i need to construct some sort of oil return from turbo to the block/sump.
it needs to stay as close to the block as it can because the driveshaft is close so something like a 90deg bend out of...
