Hi Lads my car is in the finishing stages of having a 172 engine fitted and the garage that is doing it also does matched inlets, has a rr and is a dealer for cat cams. Now because i have a brand new cam belt and kit i was thinking of upgrading the cams, whilst im at it to save on costs later...

So what does one do when they change an engine over??

Would it be clearly visible if the engine is in the bay? The cars not with me, hence me not being able to see if its there or not lol

Changing the log book so it has the correct details of the engine thatsin the car. (2ltr 172 instead of 1.6 16v into a megane coupe) anyone know where to find the serial number? And what if it aint got one?

Sticking the F4R in my Megane coupe. Not got to your stage as of yet but i had my ECU decoded by RSTuning for a total of £75 deliverd back to my door. The car is currently at AP-Developments in Swansea to get the thing running. Hes doing all my wiring which includes splicing the Megane Loom to...

I dont think so, as far as i was aware the JB3 box wasnt an issue.

Yea cheers mate its a 172 fly and a 172 starter with a 1.6 box so thats why im stumped. Solenoids are fine.

So does anyone know why is just spinning and not engaging :S

Thanks for the reply and yea ive already had the starter tested and cleaned up and it worked fine. But now on the car its not working. Its a conversion project see and i bought the starter seperate from clio spairs or somthing? Think the guys name is Josh.

Just wonderd if the 172 has different types of starter per model, because i have a phase 1 172 engine and when we hook the starter up it just spins and spins and doesnt engage at all. Any help would be great.

Are they really that good? Been considering one myself for a while as the wirless f***s me off, its just im a good 5 meters plus from the box. Can you get them real lonng and are they really that cheap?

As far as i was aware IW the makers of CODMW2 sent an update 1.3 to fix a patch as 'trophies' were not working. But whilst sending the patch to fix that, it disrupted online conectivity to the IW servers or some s**t. So they then sent update 1.4 to correct this and ive had no issues since.

Thats superb mate it really is. The only thing i think you should change is the tyre marks. Looks like one massive skid mark but im guessing thats mega hard. Ace attempt tho.
