Hi, no probs Ben its all a bit theoretical at the mo.. I have got an actual 172 engine spare now.. we are trying to locate a suitable sixer.. you will have no probs (I wil mail ya!)
Then it will be fitted to my car and any adapters and alteration made, then offered for sale as a complete...

the lhd market is pretty poorly priced for the uk as u can imagine.
the big problem I have with lhd cars - and I dont think its just me... is that they are easy to get used to when driving.. but.. if its a sport car that you will give some...

when all the kits are gone, I have plans for 6 speed box conversions and turbo spec 172 short engines ready to bolt in.
hopefully that should be...
ok.. looking at seeling some 6 speed box conversions (close ratio) for the valver/williams and 172 mk1 n 2.
price for a bolt on kit.. nothing else needed, about £1300.
this will include everything.. linkages, box, adapter plates etc.
how much interest would there be ??

Ny ambulance service advanced driving course was taken in 82, and consisted of 2 weeks intense.
it really shows how good the police courses are at 9 weeks..
we were then let lose on the public roads in a crappy handling tranny (or best was the v8 sherpa van lol)..

I should be able to offer 6 speed close ratio boxes (new) for about £850 for the 172.... possibly for the willy and valver too.
that would be a nice conversion.
