ok... Supercharging and turbocharing is effectively one and the same !.. the source of power is different only.
you still need lower comp - preferably forged pistons...
Now for bodies...
You need, as do the above.. an independent engine management computer at...
I Forgot to add the other tangible benefits of tbs ..
ok... you WILL get INSTANT response from yer lump... it is very noticable when compared to an injected - especially fly by wire) system..
the increase in breathability of the simple airpump (read engine) is enhanced.. showing...

ok, heres what I mean by direct drive..
at the moment, the ecu controls the position of the throttlebody butterfly plate by driving a stepper motor.. it computes this from the position of the throttle pedal and the load.
what we do is... (this is only to use with an aftermarket engine...
Hi Mav..
brakes only work well within given parametres.. thats why the formula1 guys still come off at certain corners and lock and slide occasionaly.
try not to use the box to slow the car..
if you are having contrl problems you are probably exceding the design limits..
ie.. no car...
oh, re the original inlet manifold.. no, it would interfere with the outlet pipe of the turbo.
also, do you have left hand drive or right hand drive in HK ??..
left hand drive would be an easier conversion as the brake master cylinder res is out of the way for the down pipe.
on a rhd...

cyl 4 - gearbox end.
if using the emerald, I would convert to direct drive.. not cable..
ie, I would drive the throttle body motor (a stepper I believe) from the pedal input.. the original ecu would think it had control over the throttle body motor, but it would be disconnected.
a...
Hi Ben m8
(this is the reply I sent you via email)
The important bits are..
exhaust manifold and turbo, inlet manifold and boost aware map sensor (ps, the turbo is the excellent Mitsubishi TD04 -10) water cooled too.
compressor can be uprated if required.
I would use the...

no way doood.. thats where (in my opinion) you are totally wrong.
wheel spin is simple.. it caused by a LOSS of TRACTION.. nothing more Sir..
the LOSS OF TRACTION is almost always an abrupt delivery of power... to a lesser degree a change of adhesive quality on the road surface...
heres my take on it all...
IF you want to add a badge.. say sport cos ya think the car deserves it.. you have tweaked and messed and made it better in your eyes.. then cool.. go for it...
if, however.. you really really really want a better model and you think it makes other think you...
Yeah M8.. its me hormomes, ya know, that once a month curse that we guys ALL have to suffer.. the gals here dont know theyre born.. sheeeeeesh..
anyway, where wasI ??.. oh yes.. that time of the month that we have to suffer.. get crabby.. sulk.. cry..wanna go on holiday / get married /...
Not dresses Captn Slarty, check patterned SKIRTS! Often with nothing worn underneath!!
Hi GR.. Joe please... Captn Slartys me anorak name LOL....
There is a story in where that came from (the Captn S. bit).. one long evening I will recite it to you...
Re:- the dresses and the girlie...
Since I got the bits, I got to thinking what a 172 would be like with a quality turbo kit on, lowered compression ratio and forged pistons...
Power.. estimates....
Standard 172 - say 165-170 bhp at 6500
torque.. about 150 foot / pounds at 5400
now.. lets look at a theoretical turbo...

Simon.. Hi M8.
there are several planning a kit, but no-one doing it yet...
but, yes, its worth a shot..
As for me, I am luck (read DAFT ) enough to be able to do this myself.
Might even start selling kits eventually.. but they would be based on reno retail prices (as there is a VERY...
Hi Tim ..
this sort of work is a labour of love...
I would hate to price up fitting something like this - well , the fitting is simple when it bolts on like this .. getting it all to work properly with an aftermarket ecu or management add ons and eventually lower comp pistons is the hard...
