Right, I originally had in my mind that I would be ordering this:
http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-893-motul-dot-51-brake-fluid-long-life-100-synthetic.aspx
But after more looking around, I get the impression that for a 1*2, DOT4 fluid is recommended.
Is this correct? Or will anything do? Car...
Do you have a 1 litre clio??
Complete waste of money doing stuff to the brakes for such a small engine/slow car. IMO of course.
Save all the money in a pot for a couple of years and then put it towards a 1*2.
I'm looking for this link again, how to remove and clean the air con temperature fan.
Worked out that it's what's making the high pitched noise in my car.
Does anyone know it? The one above which used to work doesn't now for some reason.
Thanks.
I don't think much is worth doing to the rears. But obviously that's your decision.
The majority tend to go for Brembo HC discs on the front with Ferodo DS2500 pads. Goodridge Stainless Brakelines and some good fluid.
Check out this thread...
Bit of a sh*t photo sorry. Don't know why my dad cropped it like this. But you can see that there are three bolts missing.
It's not the Plenum I'm on about then.
I dont know what a plenum or rocker cover or coil pack is lol :S sorry.
The plastic cover is off. But the bolts im on about are on the actual engine.
I'll try get a photo up, bare with me.
Cheers
Took the engine cover off yesterday, to try and isolate a vibrating noise when driving fast on track.
Noticed that some of the top bolts were missing, think there were 6 or so holes there. But only 3 had a bolt in. There was definitely 3 non bolts. Does this matter? Never noticed it before...
Thanks. I sealed the fog connector and cable tied it away anyway :) it was just the horn thingy I was concerned about, looks like a tiny plastic turbocharger. worried about s**t getting inside it. But my concerns have gone now. Cheers guys
Took out my arch liners and fog lights yesterday.
On the passenger side removing the arch plastic really exposes some wires, and what looks to be a horn or something?
Can anyone confirm what it is? I was concerned that now its exposed to the elements, it might get a lot more wet and caked in...
Just come across these on Ebay from Demon Tweeks.
