well looks like it was all a waste of time! it's been drizzling all morning and I have to use the car this evening so I'm never going to get it finished and sealed
dependant on your budget, auto glym extra gloss protection is a half decent sealant that i have layered on a few times after a wash with a decent duration.
whats the best way of using LP by hand? I've been searching through the threads and everone uses a machine polisher with it.
do I use foam pad or MF cloth, wet it first or leave dry? How long should I spend on 1 panel and how much should I use per panel. Or should i just stick with the SRP...
I've been really slack lately and not been reguarly washing so mine was in a real need of clay and de-tar. did it at lunch time and got as far as finishing with the clay before I put the car cover on and leave it for tomorrow. Was just to cold for the clay, Had 1 peice in my hand to do half a...
I've had my 182 with cup packs from new for 5yrs now, and don't look back.
I've had 2 bikes in the back with camping gear for a week in wales. 2 surfboads on the roof for trips to Conrwall and Devon, dogs in the back every weekend. I'm a building inspector as well so have to use it for work...
Have you got the correct length bolts? Am I right in thinking that if the bolts are too long the end of the bolt will reach the end of the4 bolt hole before they have clamped down on the wheel? can't remember the correct length but I'm sure with a search you could find the answer.
Made quite a nice difference when fitted on my old 5 turbo, but the overal weight was quite a bit more than the clios both before and after machining. Don't go too light though
Don't think it was me, I didn't use my car on Sunday. The GF used it to go from Great Notley upto Ford End near Chelmsford but I don't think we were ever near freeport. Must be another LY 182 in the area :dapprove:
Coming along the Braintree by-pass this morning when I see a nice blue 200 pushing me along, pull out of his way as I had the dogs in the car to see it with full ugly front bumper (IMO) the std 5 spoke 17's and the 200 rear valance and exhaust trims, but with the 197 'RS' badge that I thought a...
not worth buying back a CAT C no matter how good you think it was. search on her for one thats been looked after and do your own thing to that, at least it'll be worth the money spending on it.
IMMObiliser
the pictures are pretty self explanatory really as you've posted. just be gentle when wiping over the painted area with the wet cotton end. Mine didn't take very well to the plastic of the front bumper but was fine on a metal panel
My point being is that I would be suprised if AG would produce a wax or sealant that wouldn't take well onto their own products thats all. And I don't feel that EGP on it's own lasts anywhere near as long as a coat of wax does over the top.
IMO I think it's an easy product to use and remove...
I'm waiting for my 182 inlets to come back from JMS at the moment but from what I hear Ph1's had the worst casting so probably worth it if looking to make other mods in the future
