are 182 heads ported as standard

I changed my inlets on my 182 at the weekend and got a shock when I looked at the inlet ports. Is this normal as I've not heard anything mentioned on here before. Apologies for the mobile phone pic. I know they like to ruff it up a little to get a better air / fuel mix but not expecting this

    Uprated / modified exhaust mounts

the OE holes are slightly raised over centre when no weight is on them, so I kinda did the same. I proppod up the tail pipes to where I'd like them to site, marked the rubber then drilled it.

Scorpion RS192 exhaust very loud at motorway speeds

I fitted the rs 192 today with de cat and the short trips I've had I wouldn't have said mine was boomy when cruising at any speed, more when you're lightly accelerating up to speed. Sounds fine at full throttle and idling

    Uprated / modified exhaust mounts

Fitted the rs 192 system today and got the mounts drilled and in place, works a treat and would highly recommend buying the poly bushes instead of cheap aftermarket mounts. didn't take any pics today but I will do tomorrow and post them up in the afternoon

    GTechniq C5 Wheel Sealant

I got there little starter kit with the P1 polish and C2 liquid crystal which they claim after applied you can water it down and use as a detailing spray to top it up. Hoping to attack the Mrs golf with it in the next couple of weeks. All by hand though so no DA results.

    De-cat

If they are able to suitably weld a piece into the existing exhaust, I'm sure they would be able to weld on flanges/ joining pieces etc providing they have them available. Get down there and see what they can do for you, never know might be able to get it done for the weekend.

    De-cat

a local exhaust centre should be able to knock something together providing it's fairly straight forward. I have had it done at a local tyre / exhaust centre in the past. Can't think of the shape of a non sport exhaust system

    FMIC efficiency, turbo-SC conversions

http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&PageNo=2&catalog=0013 Have a look at the 2 universal IC's, loads of fitment options and pretty compact

    FMIC efficiency, turbo-SC conversions

No not Dales, his name is Sam and is running a Tungsten Grey shell. I'd highly recommend charge coolers if you're likely to have high temps or poor air flow. otherwise I'd consider the Forge universal IC's. Evo IC's I've seen have always been pretty big and gave a little more lag/ pressure drop...

    FMIC efficiency, turbo-SC conversions

thought about fitting a charge cooler. I personally think they're far better than an intercooler. A friends running one on his turbo'd 1.8 16v clio lump in in a 5 turbo shell. it never gets warm although he has fitted a larger header tank to hold more water for cooling. What IC's are you...

lol. I had to tell the Mrs this one!

    2004 2.0 182 without twin exhaust?

have you looked under the car to check that you haven't got an aftermarrket exhaust? other than the wheels, it's the only other visual difference identifying it as a 182 any other signs that it's not quite right?

Dyno Graph - Problem with torque?

when I had my 182 RR'd torque started at approx 115, rose to 145ft/lbs at 5300rpm and dropped back down to 120 by 7000. was alot more level than that

Your ideal 172/182 catback exhaust: what tips, color, size etc..? Possible group buy.

Re: Your ideal 172/182 catback exhaust: what tips, color, size etc..? Possible group This is all for a 182 system. I personally would like to see slashed tailpipes as used on the Scorpion RS192 system, either 75 or 80mm. This would look good in either chrome or pure slash cut metal. Silenced...

    Uprated / modified exhaust mounts

I've not really looked into the options previously for replacement mounts, but there didn't seem to be much available. I had the OE mounts for 4 years before they started to fail, replaced them with aftermarket mounts available but they have lasted a little over a year. SO..... I bought 2x...

    Blue 182 - Chelmsford

Blue 182 with aftermarket exhaust and gloss black 182 wheels passed me this morning on Essex Regiment Way going into Chelmsford, followed a few cars back before I turned into the Uni and you headed off into Chelmsford. What was that exhaust??????

    r5 gtt into mk1 clio

I wouldn't bother with the RSI if your doing an engine swap. 8v so doesn't give a huge amount of power or tuneability. stick with the 1.8/2.0 16v lumps

    r5 gtt into mk1 clio

It's been done before, quite a few people around Essex had it done but unsure of the work involved. I would say though that the 5 turbo lump is only as reliable as the person that's driving/ looking after it. Have you thought about the 1.8 16v lump? Why particularly the C1J

What mileage is on your 182? (182's ONLY)

Re: what you on 182 owners only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 182's are least 5 years old, 27K sounds like it's used as a shopping car lol. Mines a 55 plate and just about to hit 72K

    Clio Speaker Connector

The yellow pioneer standard Renault fintment speakers are components (seperate mid and tweeter) but without crossovers as they use the renault wiring. What you need in the back is just some standard co axials (2 way), they'll also be cheaper. Then you'll just need to attach spade connectors to...

liquid yellow repair and wheel refurb in lincoln

I'd consider getting a new bumper and havng that sprayed, likely to get a better finish as it's fresh paint than having to repair, fill, rub down all the other imperfections and stone chis etc. To get the paint to match they'll also have to blend/ blow it in to touching panels. That might be why...

    Disappointed with Pioneer TS-Q131C

I run these off the standard HU and admittedly there's not huge amounts of base in them but they sound quite clear. I replaced the rear speakers with some old Infinity Reference range co axials and that really made the most difference to clear bass

    seatbelt swap

I've tried cleaning the silver seatbelts in my 182 with several APC's but they never come out completely clean, and nothing seems to remove the blood stain on them. anyone know if the mounting points, buckles etc are the same on the 200 belts, thinking of loking into getting the yellow belts...

    Coming from a Focus ST........

I test drove an ST for an hour and thought it was a lovely car, but it lacked the spirit and fun that I get from the clio. Roll on power, comfort, build quality etc it was far superior and was generally a very sensible car but was nowhere near as involving as a megane, let alone the clio.
