Essex is taking over the CS forum. lol
I do like the DC2's but would still prefer my clio as a daily driver. Reguarly serviced and there generally pretty healthy and strong. steering wheel doesn't age that well but interior is generally ok. hitting 200bhp is difficult and expensive is you want...
with the free'er flowing system and CAT it takes longer to get the heat into them so they're working efficiently hence driving it more before they test it.
where abouts are you in Suffolk, far to Colchester? Colchester Fuel Injection can supply pretty much anything like this. friends have used them in the past for odd bits and one offs and they've always helped.
A few people have reported problems with either 1 or both of the tailpipes sticking out far too much on the Janspeed systems, I've not seen them follow up with a cure yet though.
theres just no winning, and Fred, the 2 cars I've seen, been in with Yozza systems were far too loud for me to use...
But for the car to be bought back then sold on for considerably less than market value, the repairer is going to be looking to do it cheaper than if the insurance company is paying out on the repair for him to make any money out of it, and that's the only reason for doing it
To cause enough damage to cost 60% of the value of a car only a year old must have been fairly substantial IMO. I wouldn't touch it unless there was a full record of everything repaired or replaced with pics of the origianl damage.
v6 is the same size airbox and outlet, just 1 inlet slightly larger than the 2 smaller ones on the ph1 box. doubt it's worth anything extra.
have you tried jms ref the filter
I appreciate what your saying Dave but they're completely different systems. I myself am a fan of the Piper and plan on getting one next. but TBH when I saw the build quality of the RS it didn't look that bad, but can't ignore the poor/ difficult fitting stories
IMO if someones looking at the RS192, there after a fairly quiet, civilised system. The Yozza is far from this and one of the noisest systems I've heard.
my exhaust gas warning light started flashing 1st thing in the morning for 2 days, the coldest of the week. was running very rough as I tried to drive away on lower throttle/ almost idleing.
Put it on the CLIP and registered a misfire on No. 3 cylinder. hasn't done it since the weather has...
TBH there is really little need for an extra CAF. Remove the acoustic valve and the standard CAF and maybe attach a 102mm hose to your airbox that extends further into the area behinf the headlight if you must do something to it
it's 102mm dia. If your going to run a CAF, don't connect it to the airbox, have it coming up from the acoustic valve and directed at the airbox so the airbox can breathe from all around the entrance.
Have a look between the upper grille and the passneger headlight and you will see metal...
I went over the top on mine when I got them as I didn't fit them ASAP, used what I had in the shed.
Made sure they were clean by de taring and claying, then AG SRP, followed by 4 coats of EGP, followed by 4 coats of collies 476:o. nothing seems to have stuck to them yet suprisingly with the...
They were off a 182 and the lower was RS stamped. As far as i'm aware, the trader sends them off to be done and not in house so I don't know who carried out the work, but considering the reputation they have built for themselves on this forum recently I have no reason to doubt them. just wish...
Just watched the video of the P1 applied by hand, that was the kind of thing I was expecting TBH from the Lime Prime.
I'll have to keep an eye out for the P1 with hand polishing pad now :approve:
I completely understand what your saying, but i didn't get any real kind of correction from it even on minor scratch/ swirl on the top of the rear bumper by the bootlid. Maybe I just didn't put enough effort into it.
It gave a great base, clean surface for applying a sealant over, guess I was...
I've tried using it by hand and really wasn't that impressed with the results over using SRP. Maybe the benefit ony becomes apparent when using with a machine pollisher.
