I work at the Citizens Advice Bureau in Bristol and, in the main, its debt problems that we get the most of. Its ok while youre earning and interest rates are low, but when that changes...
So with that in mind, I live by the principle of buying only what I can afford. I really want a turbo...
Oh poo!
I just spent ages writing a proper reply, but the computer froze up and lost the text! GRRRRRRR:@
Anyway, the moral of the story was that Id basically thrown a lot of money at my 16v to make it perfect. The engine conversion tore through all the associated mechanical bits (diffs...

Mate - there is a little good news.
The 16v is the sort of rare car where parts are always in demand. If I were you, Id make the insurance company an offer, as its going to cost them anyway to collect and dispose of the car. Scrappies will give them sod all for it. From then on, you can...

Have Yoko A539s all round at the moment. Theyre akin to the Falkens in that their sidewall profile means that you can get stupidly large wheels on. But thats where the similarities end, as Ive not heard good things about Falkens.
Yoko 539s are brill in the dry, but not so good in the wet...
OK - Im probably wrong! For some reasons 0.31 sticks in my head though! What I know for sure is that the figure was used to advertise the car a lot. Remember the one with the Aboriginal bloke in a desert??

My question exactly. Moreover: will the powerplant be making it to the next Clio?
BB Tuning, K-TEC and the like must be rubbing their hands with glee!!
Ask them if the powerplant will make it to Clio 3.
Weve seen many many posts about top speeds and speedo accuracy. Basically, if youve got a 1.2 that says its doing 120, its really doing under 110mph. If you look at an Autocar test, itll confirm that - and when youre actually doing 60 itll say 65.
This is the same (though to a lesser...
Smoothed Clio (Pete) has an RT. He used to have a K&N, but now has the HP kit. I cant comment on any power improvements (as I doubt there really are any - see the mahousive post on IKs for the 16v!). But it does sound a bit better. I had a K&N on my old 1.2, which I think is the same as for...

Take heart mate - youre not alone with your Valvers problems!:D
I bought myself a shiney, uprated engined 16v last autumn and was over the moon. Id completely cleaned out my savings to buy it, but it was worth it for the induction roar alone. Sadly, there were dark clouds on the horizon...
