I had the bonnet, front bumper and roof re-sprayed to get rid of stone chips (my car is black, which really shows them!). I had it done really cheaply and the job looked good too. But nine months later theres lacquer peeling off on the bumper and the paint is flaking around the sunroof. Id...
Sounds a bit sad, but on motorways I stick at 55-60mph in the inside lane. That way, I dont get caught up in overtaking manoveures or get frustrated by other peoples incompetence. It saves fuel too!!

Right, have had a few quotes for an alternator for my 16v - £72 from Andyspares.com and £170 from Halfords:cry: Better not ask Renault then!!
Anyway, Ive had a look at my engine bay and have decided that Id like to let the pros have a pop at it, as one of the auxillary belt allen key holes has...
I dont think you even need to drive particularly fast to enjoy a good drive. Down my way (Wales), a lot of my favourite roads will not allow you speed - doing the national 60mph limit around some of these lanes would be insanity!!
I love just appreciating the drive, handling, power and noise...
...and BMW will still be making a loss on the Mini too. Just like Audi did with the first A8, its about establishing the brand to rake it in later generations.

If you can do as much work as possible then good on ya mate - I guess you have the skills/tools to cut off the old arches/smooth the new ones on? I actually think that you can cut just below the rear windows of the car and blend the arches in there, rather than having to take the whole rear...
The 206 should be as quick on paper, but let there be no mistake - it will not be of the same ilk as the 205 GTi, 306 GTi-6 or 106 GTi. Both these smaller brethren have at least 50bhp less than the 206 GTi 180bhp - but that extra 50bhp wont make the car any quicker in a straight line and...

Erm, can you make "Captains Special" or something suitable cheesey out of the normal Renault badges/lettering?
How about "Blow me down" or "Shiver me Turbos";)
