well they both have the safety aspect of a crisp packet but the clio is more comfortable with a higher tin roof, so I'd take the clio on that one, not that Im planning on that ofcourse
I think the only reason I would have a go at 'proving' my car would be against something a lot more powerful...
I dont feel the need to 'prove' myself, more 'prove' my car to others, Its strange because I get satisfaction from my silly little clio when it beats another car owned by some rich kid, bargain bucket ftw!
The best car Ive had for showing some higher powered cars how to go on is definately my...
cool, I'm not even going to attempt it, i caught a few cats eyes the other day on a back road, not sure if it was the bottom arm yet but I wont be attempting getting it on the rollers, as long as it goes well in the real world that will do me, no figure will change that :)
Well if its any consolation, the 206's plate is making me hungry :D
Nice motors, i wouldnt knock the 180 that much, i personally love my mates 180 thats got exhaust, morrettes, hids, coilovers, few other cosmetics and it has transformed the car, it easily keeps up with my 172 as well
think I will have a pop down with whoever else is going from the north-east, i dont think pauls rollers will cater for silly low 172's :P and i aint heightening it, it goes againsy my religion :)
I'l see how Karl's does and guess mine is about 10bhp down on that :D
I love doing things to my car to see the benefits on the road, not just to post a few pics on here and everyone to go WOW! and my ego to grow a little bit more
Hopefully i shall be doing a few other things but not going to spend silly money, its a daily driver, ive had semi- stripped cars...
Re: 172 with an unknown direction
Thought i would update this with my newest addition, cup spoiler and custom 65mm rear springs
Went out and took some pics on a typical wet windy autumn day
cheers mate, i thought it would be funnier as its only got the spoiler and not the back bumper, im sort of tempted to keep it ph1 at the mo, its growing on me :S
dont track it but i drive it hard on b-roads, i added it when the suspension was standard and tbh its amazing, best 100-120 ive ever spent on a motor so far
Ive recently fitted my custom 65mm springs on the back of my clio after fitting coilovers, and also got my cup spoiler on
*the rear used to be lower but took spare wheel out to try and heighten it slightly*
Enjoy......
vee's do look cool and have a good road presence, as a rare car, they're far from supercar status though
Would you call a sierra rs500 a supercar? I doubt it
Anyhow, regardless of which one is faster i'd imagine the chances of this supercharged 172 running into a vee on the road is very mild...
Fair comment, but they're also quicker through 2nd in my experience, a good launch in a gti/vts through 1st and 2nd and the 172 will be struggling to keep up maybe until 3rd
Ok it would be a bit closer than i made out but even still, if the clio's engines were a little more revy and responsive...
