Get a servicing kit from Hill Power.
Top stuff.
Get Leads, plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm..
Genuine Renault Oil Filter is what you need.
And oil pump, isn't going to be easy if at all possible with the engine in the car!
Standard clutch is the way and standard cable too. Genuine Renault.
Ok, if you're running 300BHP then maybe, but the standard clutch is fine. Feels so nice too when they new.. performance clutches tend to be very snappy.
Well, depends what ya mean by performance.
Performance isn't always straight line speed.
If wider tyres mean you get better traction/handling/whatever, you will perform better on a track.. maybe. So they do improve performance.
My 1.2 handled SO much better with 195/50's than it did on...
Get some 16v/Williams brakes fitted.
£40 for calipers from a breakers (MatBrown probably has some) and then about £70 for new discs/pads.
BIG improvement!
Mats old Red one had cams, headwork etc.. from HillPower.
Awesome!

It had the full works tho too - painted rocker cover, silicon hoses, etc..
Well, an "ok" job is likely to be £100/£150 a side.. and thats cutting out, welding new plate in, spraying etc..
A decent job, probably £250 a side.. depends how picky you want to be and if you can find anyone good enough to do it!
If you look under the wings, there is a lot of metal until you get to the engine bay!
I guess they are cheaper - and probably easier to make wider - dunno.
