    you can check the potentiometer with a multimeter checking you have a smooth resistance change when pressing the throttle pedal and that it doesnt stick.

    remove 4 twenty torx screws from the inside of the boot lid(2 at either side) and then unclip the spoiler.

    the aftermarket seals are a lot fatter so would seal any imperfections,a bit exspensive though.some of the frames have drains at the front but not at the rear.some frames have no drains at all.

    the timed fan works on when the ing feed is cut so you could turn the ing on/off and you would still activate the timed fan.even if it hasnt got the timed cooling fan i still think he has a relay fault(internal fault with fan relay)
