    if the idlers and tensioner werent changed on the first belt change i would change them on the second.

    no there not,that why some of the lamps have adjustable beam deflecters as part of the lamp unit instead of the stick on lense deflectors because there is the possibility that thay cause the plastic type headlight lenses to melt.

    have you tried disconnecting the battery for 10mins,you might have spiked the abs computer when you jump started it.also check all the fuses

    a later 1.2 had a 5 speed box.have a ring round some breakers yards.a 1.4 box would fit if thats all you can find.

    you normally unbolt the tube from the engine and then the tube just pulls out of the block(has a couple of o rings sealing it in the block)

    we use elf 10/40 fully synthetic at work and a 172 with oil filter holds 5 litres of oil.

    sounds like you need new runners then.part of the runner is part of the window seal.you can buy the complete kit from renault.also check the regulator is secure and the glass is sat properley in the regulator.

    how can you check a master cylinder

    to check a master cylinder press the brake pedal down really hard and if the pedal creeps all the way to the floor the master cylinder is leaking internally

    aye my mistake the ballast computer contols the voltage to the bulb and the starter pack provides the intial voltage boost to get the bulbs started.seeing as there is no automatic level adjustment then yes that kit is illegal to use. also dont xenon lights get a lot hotter than normal bulbs so...

    when we did my mates engine up on his rt we had the head done,fitted performance cam,exhaust,chip and a throttle body of a single point injection 2l laguna.seemed to go pretty well after all that lot.

    so if the cam company gives you the lift at tdc you can just lock the engine at tdc and meassure the lift on the cylinder specified by the cam company and adjust as needed.i think the cams i fitted used the angle chart to find tdc centre and the dial gauge to find the centre of max lift on the...

    so you mean rotate it so it opens and closes the valve once so you could meassure max lift and then set the engine to tdc to see if max lift is obtained and adjust if reqd.so you adjust it by meassuring cylinders 2 or 3?

    i did it out of the car but i think i could have done it with the engine in as the angle chart was only about the size of a cd and i put it in place of the bottem pulley with the help of some washers to pack the bolt out.

    i think so but ive never changed one on a valver.all the other renault engines ive stripped you could remove the dipstick tube.

    the magnex exhaust comes with another bracket that you bolt to the car to give the rear box more support.my magnex lines up with the rear bumper ok.

    we just use normal hoseclips because you have to butcher the old factory clips.your right about the folded bit(that you need to undo)is always pointing the direction where you cant get your pliers in.god the french sometimes

    ill get you a price+part numbers of the f4r cam tools.what do you mean with the last bit axial joint? Dir is a steering special tool so do you mean the tool to remove track arms from the rack?
