That'll cause controversy... :o
But, yeah, as above, take your general gut feeling and then delve a little deeper. Don't rush into anything, as there are plenty about and because it's still relatively new, there will also be a lot of minters for sale.
And any little niggle you can find...
Lol, it was far too early to remember! Teaches you a lesson... always drive around in the V or 5 Turbo if you want people to remember you! :)
Know where it must have been though, just after dropping the Mrs off at Leonard Cheshire...
That coming up to Countess Wear? Probably just before I started driving like a loon to get the missus to work on time! Apologies if you waved or anything, half 7 is fair too early to be paying attention... :)
I can assure you bananaman is saying 172/182 owners are jealous, he did this a while ago for some reason.
He's managed to get 2 pages so far though, so he's hit a nerve somewhere! b*****d.
Just got back from a spot of golf and some kid in an admittedly nice looking Civic pulled up beside me. The car was nice looking so I thought I'd let him race off past me, but I heard his mate in the back say "nah, they didn't make any fast Clio's in that shape mate".... a dot in the mirror...
Not many try to race me, although it's normally the bigger, middle management-type cars that have a go, which is always funny to beat.
And it's always nicer when you're at a set of lights where two lanes merge into one, and you're in the lane that doesn't have to merge and something pulls up...
Some lovely cars there. I know they gotta get sponsership or whatever, but the millions of stickers do take the shine off some of these cars though, the nicest looking ones there are those that haven't been tango'd!
bananaman's already started one post about this debate, seems he's back to try and get the embers glowing again. I'm just not sure why: a VX220 owner seemingly really bothered about whether other RS owners are jealous of the V6, where's the connection?
As for the quote from VX220.org, how does...
The way it turns heads and earns more respect than any other similarly priced car in its class.
2nd and 3rd gears at anything over 5k revs always gets a smile!
The seats may not be the most comfy, but they look awesome too! Oh, and the white dials and aluminium gearknob...
The car is set up as standard for 15's, so I suppose this is the IDEAL size wheel, but I doubt 16's will make much of an impact performance-wise. Anything larger and I'd say you'll start to feel the effects.
As for those wheels in particular, I'm not sure what they look like, but I think the...
Not guilty so much, but I do pay attention to who's around me and don't like to rag her if there's lots of people around thinking "chav boy racer...". I do occasionally worry if I drive it a bit too hard and never hit the limiter, because there's just no need to go that far.
Wish my parents would be into my car TBH, would make spending ludicrous (?) amounts of money on it far easier! I have to plan things just to manage to take them for a drive somewhere to try and make them catch the bug!
Well, there's currently one parked in my residents' car parking, with a kiddies seat in the back, so I think I'll leave a little Cliosport message on their windscreen!
And I passed one in Pinhoe earlier... gave a flash but couldn't see if the person waved back.
So helpful! ^^ Stick a post in 'Local Meetings' mate, there's plenty of South Westerners on here so arranging a meet shouldn't be too tricky, although may have to wait until June time as there's just been one and FCS is fast-approaching. :)
Straight swap, but my old black ones were a bugger to get off. Also, depending on the colour, the chances are that the standard colour coded strips will not match the colour of your 172...
I've had the Alpine for about a month now and it's been excellent so far. A pretty fiddly navigation considering you've got to be driving at the same time as operating it, but it's quick and not too difficult to find what you want. Plenty of various sound options as well.
Yeah that's mine, although was done before I bought the car so I don't know who/where/how etc it was done! I think it was a friend of a friend kind of thing though. It sounds good, not that loud but burbles nicely and gets louder higher up the revs.
It's definitely a Marmite modification!
It wasn't a faster car, but was just surprised when it went 'psst' and kept accelerating! Always had a soft spot for the GT though...
Anyway, back on topic.
