Hi and welcome, not seen many inferno's round exxes since the only one was rolled on the A120, then set alight because the owner apparently was drink driving.
I can't comment on the claimed power outputs but I know he's failry good when it comes to developing stuff like this and his been doing it for years now. Lost count of how many years he's been turboing 1*2's
It's Andy who used to be part of BB tuning. Based in a unit in Keveldon. I've used him in the past and always rated him for his knowledge of Renaults. He's just build a turbo'd valver engine for a friend who's putting it in a 5 turbo shell.
They fit a 182 for sure. I tried them and had no problems. now fitted them to my dads Mk2 Ph1 RSi again with no problems.
Looked nice on a lowered black clio;) (admittedly non sport)
I have these but not managed to fit the tweeters yet. Have removed the grilles but can't physically get the OE tweeters out. Was looking into removing the dash top to fit them.
Would it not be better to pick up the phone and ask him personally instead of waiting for him to come on line, especially if you're after your car back farily soonish.
Just a thought, and not meaning to step on anyones toes in anyway. but after all is cured and it turns out to be down to a...
Have you checked that the caliper is not sticking?
250 miles is more than enough gentle driving before giving them some hard work to do teh final bed in.
As I've said previously, I never had any trouble with them at all. Regularly had the tracking checked after installation and it was always fine.
And Bearne 1, do they look like there are any signs of me having trouble removing them? As I said in the PM's.
If you don't want the hassle or...
Depending on how you drive/ where you drive it can take a while to scrub them in.
Also as said above, drop the rear tyre pressure a couple PSI, worked for me.
The lower inlet has a raised R S in the middle 2 pipes, so you can only see it if you take the fuel rail guard off or the lower inlet. You might see it if you mess around with a mirror.
What are peoples thoughts on matching the RS inlets? worth it or not as mine are stamped and was considering...
concluded through personal experience, was worse than a 16v when comparing day to day driving without an overly heavy right foot. ownership only lasted 9 months.
As for the OP, valver is the way forward. I'd still have one if I could have a 2nd car or didn't do all the mileage.
Don't bother with the RSi, 1.8 8v with 105bhp? 14" speedline 5 spokes with standard wings and bonnet. Very heavy on petrol too.
The 16v (1.8 16v) has the bonnet bulge and wider wings with nicer 15" alloys with about 135bhp and would highly recommend one, especially at the cost compared to the...
