Why do people get scared about taking their car on long journeys? Do you expect that your car is going to have a catastrophic engine failure in the next 4500 miles? No, I'm sure you wouldn't still own it if you did.
All I'd do is service, check everything over i.e pads, discs etc and drive it.
It all depends on what happens in work etc that day tbh. I finish at 5 and will want to go home, get out of the suit, put oil in the car, put fuel in, drive up there, get stuck in traffic LOL.
Lol! New rocker cover gasket is needed, going to try and clean off the remaining oil when I've done that, the cat is on its way out so new manifold and decat is needed.
Last night it smelt of cat piss which would suggest gearbox oil, very confused tbh.
Re: Not so much a Project...
Because 16V.
Me and Jon were talking last night about how much we missed ours. He now has a Trophy and still misses his 1.2.
You don't need to do a lot to them tbh, OEM+ is win.
Re: Not so much a Project...
Can't bring yourself to sell the cliy0 you mean ;)
I've found it hard to come to terms with putting mine back to standard and getting ready to sell it (it's been sat on the drive collecting dust since 31st December).
Never put 2 and 2 together and clocked this...
The rollers will be completely different so using these ones to judge the increase your matched inlets have made is a waste of money. Also the matched inlets are regarded as one of the worst mods going. Some people say otherwise but there's a lot of speculation.
Either way, getting a RR...
Really like this.
Got to say, I've only owned a 1.2 which did nothing but give me grief. Still plan on my next car being another clio. RenaultSport variety this time though.
A lot of my friends have pure hatred for clio's, and **** them for being french, but I think it's just something about...
LOL!
Gutted you're not bringing the FRP Gally. It's understandable though.
If the fester hasn't blown up by then, I'm hoping to have the wheels refurbed, decent rubber, new manifold, oil leak sourced and fixed (think it's the rocker cover gasket) and a few other bits and pieces.
If you plan on taking the car and having things rectified at a later date take pictures of them BEFORE you drive out of the body shop. This will be proof that you did not cause the problem/make it worse by taking the car.
