Your Megane doesnt keep company with an M6 though, and as good as the Megane Trophy and Cup are they arent getting rave reviews, just good ones. The fact they even saw fit to put a £15.5k shopping trolly against an M6 is unbelievable, but thats how much they think of the Trophy.
I saw some...
The springs are different, they are tiny little yellow things! I noticed the rear dampers are also Sachs at the weekend too.
I know what you mean Jonnyboy, but its hard to think of another way of putting it, but with only 500 its not a normal model.
Look at it this way, most normal...
Its hard, far harder than any other car Ive owned. Its hard to explain, but theres no getting away from the fact that you feel every bump, its just that all the time the car is totally composed and in contact with the tarmac which is why its so effective.
Does that make sense?
You need to...
The Trophy isnt a mainstream model, its too harsh as a main stream road car. The new RS model will be more comfortable and user friendly, helping more track focused models like the 172 Cup and the Trophy hold a little more value.
Theyll still lose a lot, just not as much as the rest of the...
My Pug 306 GTi-6 was faultless.
The 2.0 litre Focus I had as a company car for 2 and a half years and cleared 50k in never had a single fault.
None of my Clios have ever been off the road, they have just had niggles.

Oh, and all the daily posts...

New Clio and the Micra are the same thing arent they.
LMAO, are you trying to wind Tom up? Hell go off on one and start explaining how platform sharing does not make it the same car.
I really enjoyed driving the 225 Trophy around Brands, but it certainly wasnt any quicker than the 182. Its just got the most silky smooth power delivery. You can just sit with it, but passing would require you to break track day rules, as on the straight theres nothing in it.

Maybe thats the new RS Clio.
Wouldnt be the first time they have done chassis testing underneath another body. Look at when they hid it under a Modus. lol

They have the odd rattle here and there but they are reliable.
Depends which Pugs you had. The 307 is very well screwed together and feels a little more solid than the Clio. The 206 on the other hand seems a little more flimsy to me.
Yeah, I agree with the fact that the Mk2 172 went relatively un noticed. The chassis changes were quite minor though compared to that of the 172 Cup, 182 and Trophy.
Personal opinion here.
Black 172s hide the wider arches and look more like a 1.2. Hence why everyone buys a 1.2 in black.
Monaco Blue is lovely, I had one myself, but its not too sporty a colour.
Silver is great, but by far the most common colour on the Mk2 172.
Red is where its at I...
Found it. As well as being able to chose the brightness of the display, it also has a cable to connect to the car so it dims when the headlights are on. Not connected on mine though.
You can put the unit into blackout mode. If you press a button the display will come back on for 5 seconds...
