If it's an aftermarket alarm the light is more likely to be somewhere on the dash. On my 172 (import) the light was next to the door locking button. I guess it's easier to stick it there than down by the gear lever.

Mine does this too. Some days it's okay, others it idles over 2k. Today I turned the engine off in traffic, started it again and it was back down to just under 1k rpm. I wondered if it might be a split hose or something induction related, but then I know f**k all about engines.:o

If it's in 4 sticks of 512 it will work okay Roy. If it's two 1gb sticks you might find you have problems but it should be okay. If you run 2 sticks it able to run at 400mhz, with 4 it's limited to 333mhz though you can force 400 in the BIOS. Can't post any of our stuff, I'll be following it...

Same here. I never had a problem with them driving normally. The only issue I did have was reversing back up my drive, it's not very steep but they just wouldn't grip, I guess the treat pattern is designed with going forwards in mind.
