I got one from here a few years back: http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/ They also did a group buy for the club a few months back. They are well worth a try.
That's where I fell at the first fence, you can't take out insurance on a car with no MOT. :(
We gave the car a once over of all the things on the check list. All the things we could check looked okay.
If I had a car which had been off the road for a while and no longer had an MOT, are the only ways of getting it to an MOT centre to get it MOT'd on trade plates or by trailer?
Cheers,
Lee
Jeremy Townsend has it on the front of his V6. Works perfectly, though as usual sods law would dictate he's picked up a chip on one of the few places that's not covered.
It's barely noticeable unless it's pointed out. Excellent stuff.
I went out in it at the weekend. It really does shift, and that was with the full interior in.
Very road friendly, though personally I'd have a quieter exhaust. Felt like it handled well from the passenger seat, a lot more like my Trophy.
The exhaust is lovely, a single back box and...
I've got an Alpine 9853R in mine.
I wanted something dark in colour that was able to have orange buttons and not stick out of the dash a mile. I think it looks okay.
I doubt you'll see any gain from the exhaust, 1-2bhp at the most if you are lucky.
They sound nice with a deep burble, until y0z drives your car and blows the baffles out, then it's loud. lol
Here's what mine used to sound like, it was new at the...
Bloody typical, I managed to get it to do it all the way home last night, then again this morning on my way in.
Then I took one of the service guys out for a bit of a joy ride and the sodding thing wouldnt do it once.
He gave me the usual "well put the clip on it", which means sod all as...
David, you may want to move this to Power, mechanical etc.
Can anyone point me in the direction of where it is under the bonnet please? A picture would be handy.
Ill pull and prod it tonight see if I can sort it out.
Cheers for your help.

Lee, you will find the fault occurs more reliably when you rag the sh*t out of it. Line it in every gear and itll soon start happening. Although once it starts happening STOP ragging it - I payed the price of accidentally continuing...

do you have to take the lights out ?
On the front you just take the rubber cover off the back. The hardest part is getting your arm down between the aircon pipes.
Ill pick up a sensor Friday if they wont fix it.
I did wonder Dave, but figured it was more a General question, not necessarily just about my issue. Feel free to move it though.
Afternoon,
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or has had a similar problem.
Once again the engine temperature sensor on the Trophy is on the blink. Sometimes reading fine, others reading no engine temperature or just bouncing up and down.
Last time this happened I took it in to the...
