I would hope that the 225 is better built, however, my expierence with the 172 really put me off. It is personal choice in the end, but I had a lack of trust in renault to put my money with them again.
BTW, we should have an ex-clio owners LCR meet!!lol
spot on, thats why Im getting a LCR. Loved the 172, hated the reliability and dealers. Theres not a lot to choose, but if you not up for constant warranty workn then then the meganes not for you.
I know privelege said to me that it take them 24hrs for the info from the net to download. How long have you left it?? You are covered from the point you complete on the net. I rang up to check cos didnt want this kinda situation
Dodgy typing above:oops: was well annoyed and it turned out not to be autoglasses fault. Not sure were its getting in, and I am now in the process of replacing all the gomits in the sill and floor.

Found out its the windscreen. Bloody Autoglass!!!!:@ I have nearly 20 wrecked cd cases cause I kept them under the drivers seat and my car is gonna have ducks swimming in it next, the puddles in the footwell are have that mych watreer!!!!!
Somehow water is definitely finding its way into my 172. Cant find out where though. All four footwells are drenched. Nothing coming from the roof and have checked around both door seals. Under the seats seems particularly bad. Any suggestions appreciated!!
Cheers
Adam
^^^ Spot on. Im with privelege, very good and yes they are directline. I put my mum on and it saved me anoth £80 which it doesnt normaly do with directline. Good to deal with, although I havent made a claim. (Fingers crossed)
Can anyone help?? My 172 seems to be creating steam inside the heater. Its happened twice in 24 hour. For abour 20 secs Steam is blow through the Air Con vents into the cabin. Has done it in both wet an dry conditions and with a different temp set??? Bit confused by it, its never done it before...
Well the total cost would have come to £810 including service. Thats with warranty for CV boot and exhaust on warranty and paying for everything else. Theyre baming the headlamp adjuster on the lowering. Not too bothered about the other bits, I will do some bits myself and get a local garage to...
Ive kicked off about it. Will have to wait and see. Theyre trying to say it because its lowered that its not covered. I can understand the shocker not being covered.
Its in now and just go the dreaded call. You know its not good when they warn you before they start:-
1. Drivers seat Loose
2. Split CV Boot.
3. Front Brakes Binding.
4. Rear pads and discs.
5. Leaking Shock absorber on rear
6. New headlamp adjuster (£145 fitted)
7. Exahust mount...
My 02 172 clio is due for its 36k service. Does anyone know of specialist renault garage (Othere than renault dealer.) in the Greater Manchester area. What do people think, it is better to stick in the dealer network??? Am in the last year of my warranty and thinking once the warranty is gone I...
