Thanks for the link mate. When your looking for something it helps if you look in the right place!!
Thats a wicked plate it has to be said. I had hoped they might have one with R172 and my initials, but no joy!!
Go to your dealer. Unless the problem rectifies itself, which is unlikely, I think you will have to take it to a Renault garage. Has been caused bya trapped wire under the seat in the past.
Ive got silverfusion in my 172. Look loads better than the OE lamps. And as Rich says, they are proper silver!!!

Mines just broke the 2000 mile barrier and is getting quicker all the time. It seems to love the cold weather and feels much more responsive when its freezing. As said above, I cant wait for some dry weather to find out what she can go like.
Yeah right!!!! Relays are old news mate, thought about a PLC?? You could have some serious fun with one of those in you car LOL!! Top site though chief!!
Hello Cheeky Chappie, prepare yourself for my 2p ;-)
I personally dont think Renaults are as bad as some people make out. Certainly no worse than any other french car manufacturer !!!!!!(i.e.Peugeot, sh*troen) My 172 has so far fulfilled my expectations of a new car.
A couple of my mates...
but in the Top Gear magazine in front of me, the figures are as follows;
160: 0-62 = 7.7, max = 128
172: 0-62 = 7.4, max = 134
Dont know which one your reading!! Incidently, they are the poorest performance figures Ive seen for a 172.
The Knowledge;
160: 0-60 = 7.4, max = 131, Bhp/ton...
I had the same choice when I brought my 172 . The MG could not compete with the 172 on any terms. Performance wise theyre not miles apart (on paper - never actually driven one, they only had a 120 available for test drive when I was looking), but everything else on the MG feels exactly as it is...
Why not change? youll get quite a few extras if you get a 172. Im confused by the half-leather in a Clio making no difference whatsoever comment. Climate Control is good if thats what you want. Xenons are awesome. The wheels are easier to clean. Newer models have Cruise Control with speed...
Ive driven one a couple of times, and they are seriously quick. Look superb, too. Awesome handling. Great seats. Dash looks tacky with blue bits ( no offence cup owners!!). Torque steer is horrendous though:cry:. My friend says his is a nightmare in this weather. He still loves it though!!. And...
Meeee!!! Got mine on 26th November. Plenty of plans, not done much!!. In fact my only mod so far is a set of silverfusion indicator lamps. In the none too distant future ( depends what cash I have left after christmas!!) I will be adding a Cup spoiler and splitter, upgradind the H/U and factory...
A Cup HAS to be Mondial IMHO. Silver ones look just as good, but blue is the colour of the Cup!! Imagine a silver Williams - it would probably look OK but all wrong at the same time!! Just my 2p.
That flame red 172 looks f**king gorgeous, girly or not!! Those wheels really set the car off nicely. Good choice, 172gal!! ( i wish I had a red one now, but my silver one still looks nice.)
Ahh the joys of Renaults... Mine now has two rattles... one from windscreen blower vent somewhere and one from the silver trim above the glovebox. It goes with the territory Im afraid. Average build quality and firm suspension = Rattles!! Still, all is forgotten when with a quick blip of the...
1198 in 3 weeks... And I only live 7 miles from where I work. Seem to take the long way round now, cant think why!!
Glad your pleased with her mate... Its futile trying to keep the car below 6000rpm.... let her go and wait for the shift light!!!
Funny you mentioned a run in with a Golf...
