Tbh I don't really see the point in a road car. Let's be honest, there's very few people on here that are capable of getting the best from a car, so what genuine benefit will stripping it completely have? If it's going all out, cage, slicks, track suspension etc then do it.

Owned both. The Rallye is the better car to drive, no doubt. Also sounds better, has an infinitely better driving position. Genuinely stunning to drive, don't judge until you've tried a good un.
I've driven them all, I'd have an R26 (nearly got one last year). Personally, I prefer the drive of the 1*2's over all the other (standard) megs. I'm hoping to have a shot in one on V3's soon, so doubt the owner will happily swap for a short burst;).
