are they as cheap on the saxo's/golfs? what's the longevity like?

is it down on power? could be the coil pack? I'd be taking it back to where you had the belts done if it is belt related. If not make sure you use one of the specialists on here. Much cheaper than a dealer by a mile.

surely the question to ask is WHY are they so cheap? Not being synical, but nothing is cheap and good at the same time usually.

sounds like a good idea. Problem is different suspension setups will make a difference with these mods with regards to traction, so it won't be a fare test unless cars are standard shock/springs.

why do you need to remove the dash top? You can thread the wire up the back of the centre console no? thats what I did with the tunepoint (would suggest getting this over the CD changer to be honest).
