Just because it's new doens't mean its gonna be fine... most cars are at there most unreliable when they're within the 3yr warranty period. I saw an '11 plate Corsa D going down the road puffing out blue smoke yesterday... guess he was heading to Pentagon in Derby to have words, assuming he made...
IF it is the decoder ring at fault then it's a doddle job and no specialist equipment is required as it's not coded. Just remove the lower column surround, unplug the connector and slide the unit off the end of the ignition barrel.
I can't give you a price for a new unit i'm afraid as it's a...
Actually I had a call out to a Ford Galaxy 2.3 Zetec which had done just this just after Christmas.... pulled the plugs and sure enough the bores were totally saturated with fuel. Unplugged the injectors and put aside for testing whilst the controllers were scoped and everything was fine...
Yeah they must've given you a huge discount cos they are currently listing:
Timing belt kit > F4R > 'Gates' - £120.35 inc.vat
Timing belt kit > F4R - 'INA' - £106.49 inc.vat
Drive belt kit > F4R > 'Gates' - £183.42 inc.vat
The timing belt service kits are cheaper than Renault and both Fred...
+1 - people always over look the decoder ring with "Immobiliser" problems and are quick to fly the UCH/Plip key fault flag. Diagnostics will say for sure but I'd put money on it being a faulty decoder ring.
Hey Yin, I heard the bad news about your motor on BBM and am truely gutted for you mate. DOn't listen to the "Lack of compression" rubbish as that's all it is... rubbish! As Danny has said, there are multiple bent valves and so this is to be expected and they're most likely dodging the job...
The "SERV" light is not the MIL... that just means something isn't 100% right but you can continue driving the vehicle. It does indeed sound like a faulty/failing CPS but you really should have it diagnosed to be on the safe side as they are cheap but no-one likes wasting money.
£125 is way too cheap for a Timing belt kit and an Aux belt kit... I assume he means just the aux belt kit though as the genuine kit retails at around £118 + vat. If not, get me a contact name cos i'll be placing a bulk order with them!
Back on topic; To be fair, if you took the car just...
A Clip does have the ability to look at the network yes but will they know what they're doing with the results? I can't say for sure but you'd like to think yes.
If I were you, for the time it is going to taker i'd be looking at the looms paying close attention to the multiplugs for signs of...
Unless it is a Cup model then the speed is read from the ABS so a CanBus connection error between the injection and ABS modules is the most likely cause of the DF066. Unfortunately, unless there's an obvious problem with the wiring that you can see with your eyes you are going to need...
Renault... ask them for the above parts but as Motrio crossover parts (Bar spark plugs as they're not available via Motrio yet); Oil filter, Air filter, Cabin filter, Coolant pre-mixed - All genuine Renault type approved parts but at 25-60% cheaper than autofactors in most cases.

Be VERY carefull using DDT as its not as good as you might think!
It is a restricted piece of software for which I'm certain you don't have an agreement to use Legally).
Its output isn't in any ODBII format so the codes are non-generic and so are the descriptions (Which are also in French so...
Yep, get it to an auto-spark rather than a "jack of all trades" garage. Could be a loom issue, component failing or a simple earth but don't throw good money after bad at it cos electrics can get expensive.
First things first - don't assume it's a buggered sensor... it most likely is but check the basics first to avoid killing the engine!
Oil level - check it's okay
Oil Pressure - Is it correct at cold start/hot idle?
Oil Leaks - are there any major ones?
The part itself is fairly cheap as its...
Either a bad earth somewhere or the connection to the starter solenoid isn't great. I'd say it'll be a bad earth connection if it waas fine prior to the battery being removed - check the battery terminals are all good and tight.
I think diagnostics should be next on your list... As Jonny said above in #2 - then you'll know exactly what is causing the MIL to be on in the first place
Okay, so you've checked the wiring under the seats and it didn't fix it. Stop faffing about with guesses and pulling at random wires... that's how accidental detonation can occur if you're not carefull! Just get it diagnosed properly as it can be done anywhere with decent kit for under £45 so...
P0136 - O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0225 - TPS/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch C Circuit Malfunction
P0115 - Engine Coolant Temp Circuit Malfunction
Sounds like an in loom electrical problem or a bad earth to me. As above, check connections first for obvious signs of...
Chances of there being contamination are slim as fuel today is very clean but it should be checked to be on the safe side as they don't have an inline fuel filter setup anymore... it's all in-tank as posted above. TBH it needs to be seen by someone as guessing or attempting to diagnose without...
Most likely cause is a wiring fault or a faulty clockset... Are there any warning lights on and do you know if the vehicle is reporting a wheel speed for each wheel? Ideally the vehicle needs to be seen by someone that knows what they're on with and has access to decent diagnostic kit to make an...
That mystical wire to which you refer living under the seat is for airbag warning light issues not dipped head lamp ones.
First of all what model and year Clio has she got? If the fuses are okay then chances are it'll be a relay/wiring fault but which one(s) will vary depending on age.
