Yup my Cup does this as well. I find though that if its really dry when I boot it and I get wheel spin it doesnt happen, however if I boot it in the dry and ensure I dont get any wheel spin it doesnt.

Ive listened to it (audio recording!) and it sounds like the bumper. I distinctly remember how my Cup sounded on impact and its nothing like that. Should be fine mate. Dont worry.
Think at 24,000 miles my Cup is in need of some new bits.

Ive just got a 172 engine cover for my Cup. Gonna put the Cup 172 badge on it once I get a moment. Ive bought about half a dozen since theyre so cheap. Never know when some r****d migt try and steal them off the pillars.
