who's that suppose to be a resemblance of? Darren? Nice pice all. Love the few mug shots of Naith and Chris. You have to look mean to survive in the north ;)
I think i'm going to hold out for KW's. Fingers crossed they will make them again and sort out the fitting issues. :S It seems like they are the easiest to live with and adjust, so win win imo. Plus at nearly £300 cheaper I could get top mounts, and ARB and still have change :D.
Not sure what...
Booo, looks like i'm going to have to contact KW to see if they make the fronts with correct spacings still :(
I still don't understand why renault made the hubs different on these.
Can't decide which would be the best option to go for;
There are for weekend driving and track use, so need them to be soft ish with the ability to go a bit harder for the track. Presumably both these fit ;)...
were you the lad with the mrs? white cup?
Nice meet. Good to meet a few more faces. New record for the longest tyre change ever accomplished ;). Naith whens the next one ;)
are they that much different baring in mind the price difference? I didn't realise that the r888's have different softnesses (if that's a word :)). Persume people go for the mediums ?
As fletcher said, there is no point improving the power when you can't corner. If tracking is the way you're looking at going, suspension, tyres and brakes are what you'll need first.
How did you manage to bend it? I would imagine it is the same on all the 1*2's yes as the GB's are. (ph1 might be different thinking about it :S). Anyway, either get it from one of the various "braking" threads, or go through the 'members discount' section and buy it from one of the dealers who...
lol, no dedication ;) I've message Kamracing to see what they can do. I don't want to spend lots of money on them to not be able to mess around with the hole setup. I suppose I could just change the hubs, but that's messing I can't be arsed with.
How easy are the dampers to adjust when on the car?
did you check the engine cover mate? seems strange. Also make sure you have the car on a flat, wipe the dip stick then re check. (apologies if you know this :))
Yeah but the one's i'm looking at are the v2's inox (presume these are the ones you're running mate?) so at a grand for them as they are, I can't imagine how much they would charge to bespoke them :S
Sounds like KW are getting good reviews. Pretty sure they aren't for cup chassis though :(
which car you driving? or do you mean oulton on the 13th? I quite like the sounds of koni's just don't think they make them for the cup/trophy hubs.
So if i'm looking at getting some decent adjustable coilovers in the future for the 182 cup chassis, what options do I have? Are Koni adjustable dampers available for the hubs? or would I have to go for coilovers?
ah ok, i'll take them off and give them a file down before the next one. Heavy breaker, I guess I have my moments, i'm trying to stop and brake softer for longer if that makes sense :)
Sweet if it is, i've got some 102mm left over, so saves me a few pennies :)
I didn't leave the handbrake on much, might have a few times thinking about it, but it felt like the vibrations was coming from the front. I always did at least 1 cool down lap too.
I'm thinking of just going to get some second hand cup racer ones and do it myself :)
I can't fully remember...
might be, hard to tell unless you hear it. Hard to explain, but it should sound like something is rubbing, more prominent when turning.
Could be the drive shaft? Have a see if it makes the noise if you're not using the accellerator. Apply/take off and see if the noise follows the pattern...
