On the subject of gold in the McLaren engine bay I thought it was because it was the best thing to reflect the heat, to prevent it seeping into the cockpit.

I added the Self Induced Fault thing to mine. Costs £50 to add it for the duration of the free cover. This covers running out of fuel, flats, locking yourself out etc.

You should be able to get an import one for that amount. I traded my 03 Import Monaco Blue 172 in with 23k on the clock at a main dealer for £8,600 July last year.
