Looks like a Lavor? Tim is very good at CYC, give him a ring? The fittings only screw on, so if you did get the wrong one, its no biggie
ooooh were you get the fasteners from? Poor from Renault imo, mine keep sliding about :(
^ edit* Ah!!!!! Good idea, i'll go and rape my old mats tomorrow for them :)
Only thing i noticed which are different, is the stock exhaust bolts through the mount with some iirc 8mm bolts. There is a metal sleave in the O.E mounts. There isnt this metal insert/sleave in the pattern mounts. No biggie though.
Well after just giving my 197 a beating, i love it!!!! Banging through the gearbox (non of this long thrown nonsense), the brakes, the noise, the nice 'solid' feel of the car (no longer feels like my old Nova on the build side of things) the lovely small chunky steering wheel (non bus size and...
Bit unfair compairing the two at the monent. Its compairing a 197 Cup (mainstream car) to a focused limited edition. Would be better alongside the 182 Cup imo. Untill there is an Ultimate 197 edition (Trophy or similar) there is no answer ;)
Two man, no problemo. One man, cant see it. As the bolts off the manifold are just that, bolts, they spin when undone. There is no way of getting your hand around the baulkhead/manifold to get a spanner on them!!!
..... gheys ;) The 197 looks far more interesting. Meggy just has different front/rear bumpers. 197 shell is bespoke, nice flaired rear quarters, whole car is nicely pumped up. I'm with Alan on this, i'd take the 197 most times over the Meggy. Yes it can be remapped like mantioned above, but if...
Not a chance of it being a 45 min job. Never. So how do you undo the bolts on the manifold? They aint studs so spin. No chance of getting your hand round them what so ever.
Me. Came from a 172 Cup, then a 182, now a 197. Best move i ever made. If you like driving, then a 197 is for you. Sublime chassis, tight short throw gearbox, smooth high revving engine, and awesome brakes are perfect for a B road raping. The meggy imo could be boring to drive, turbo = dull. Had...
Naaa, they are a pcb (printed circuit board) and when they go wrong, you just chuck em and start again. As said around 250 for the part and a few ££ for fitting, then it needs coding in to the car
