Buying japanese and having the 182 wannabe car hey Chris, I'll try and pop down to this. Not done C&F route yet  Fingers crossed the new zorst will have arrived by then.
That's the one I was trying to remove tonight. Pain in the arse. I'll probably use the same one again though.
Oh and I'm sure I've heard somewhere that putting silicon before the CAT isn't a good idea? Might be wrong though. Mine blows from the mani join also. Best way to notice is on a cold...
lol at "lol @ flange" ;) Rusty yeah and looks a bit suspect around the bit where the spring bolt holes are :( It's wierd considering the rest of the manifold looks sound
Trying to take the CAT off tonight, which on axle stands is a pain in the *********************. Can't budge the lamdba, even with mallet, and i've not heat option. The clamp is even more annoying.
Anyway, looking at the join between the mani and the cat and the mani join is crumbling...
just a renault characteristic I guess. It's strange not to see a bit of oil around the bay :) Get it dry sumped Chris like your caterham copy thingy (presume it was a kit car :S)
Nice to see this moving along Chris. Would it not have been easier/cheaper to buy the new shell? or would that come with all the crap you're trying to remove?
Crazy in a good way mate. Not to sure on the overlapping wheels, but I love the concept of it. How the hell you drive it daily is beyond me, but good on you :D
You should keep reasonable tread on the rear really, but no problem with swapping what so ever. I change mine over after about 5-10K to get even wear all round :)
I had the 100 and it ran well.(think that was the top one :S) bit more power never hurt. Can't comment on the 80 really. Probably not much different though. Better how?
they're not too bad. Make sure you get the 100bhp one though. Nice and nippy low down revs, and good mpg if you drive it nicely. Much better than the new ones which don't return good economy really.
