15.9 is pathetic. The guy cant drive to save his life, plus I expect the surface is still very green after the winter. My old 172 could manage 14.9.
Not that it matters what we say as Big hp obviously hates the 182 and will rubbish it at practically every given opportunity. LOL
I...

Going on what I saw at santa pod today...
No argument from me Smokey, Ive driven all 4 and owned 2 of them and that how I see it also.
My 172 never had the mid range pull my 182 has and certainly didnt give such a noticeble kick at 5k rpm.

yup ^^^ agreed, and im sure if someone dissed his car he would be doing the same, i got my 182 because i dont want an old car that isnt covered by a warranty, and for the money the 182 takes some beating
Same reason here. I couldnt...
Yeah, a lot louder than it ever has been. Im liking it though, even though it is resonating a little.
Someone suggested they may have got some of that white gunk on one of the lambda sensors.
Mine has started to idle badly when warm since they repaired my exhaust!! Its no worse than my 172 ever was though so Ill put up with it. They are going to check it out at the 12k service for me.

i have a test drive with the new Golf GTi next weekend. It should help to put the Clio (which I like a lot) into perspective and indeed to see whether the new Golf is as good as they say it is. Comments to follow after the test drive.g...

Personally I find the doors on williams clios easier to open James.
Provided the hinges still have some solid bodywork to attach to. :p
I see what you mean about not being able to pick the Cup suspension on a 182. Very odd, it was there the other day. Theyve not added the Recaro seats option yet but thats not available for a month I dont think.
It still shows on the Renaultsport site as being available, but then they havent...

yeh what do i get i next inferno or yellow ???
haha, you too. I still dont have the balls to go with a bright colour. Chances are at 12 months Ill get the same car only with the Recaro seats.
Looks great Roy.
If I swap mine at 12 months old Ill be picking that option. I was worried they wouldnt match the Alcantara rears and door panels but the finish of the seats is really nice.

1984 Vauxhall Astra 1.2 Merit in Red
Cost me £900 and £600 TP only to insure.
Had over 100k on the clock when I traded it in and got pretty much what I paid for it. LOL
Just been quoted £225 by Sutton Park Renault.
Renault Birmingham quoted £195.63, £182.00 withouth doing the air filter as I have an ITG. That includes doing the filter for the aircon.
Smokey, I pushed my last one on for so long that it took over 6 months. Usually thats the cut off point but they set the court date after 5 months. Sneaky b******s. 3 points £100 fine.
Ive driven the car with these and been driven in it many times.
To give you an idea of how good these are from 110mph (not on public roads) y0z was able to stomp the pedal and the speed just disappeared. Thank god for his harnesses. LOL
Nice one Roy, glad to hear you are happy with it and those are the only problems, and minor ones too.
Get a few piccies up when you get the chance, that will be the first Inferno 182 Cup on here I think.
My 182 is a lot quicker than my 172 ever was, but then I dont think my 172 was a good example.
Build quality is no different IMO. Both rattle, and so far my 182 has had more issues than my 172. I covered 22500 miles in the 172 pretty much trouble free. My 182 on the other hand has...
I think the best indication of how much better the 182 is over the 172 is the press it has received. When the Mk1 172 was released it got plenty of good press, but the Mk2 came out into a world of CTRs etc and went very much in mentioned. The 182 however is being raved about and winning...

Driven both extensively then?
Mine is due March 5th. Ran a quick quote yeterday with Direct Line. 28, 9 years protected NCB, 6 points, garaged, 16k miles a year. £832.00 f**kING b******s the lot of them.
I see 18ME on there is the guy who was selling his (soon to be ex) wifes Silver 172 with Nav on here a while back. Looks like he replaced it with a 182.
They all seem to appreciate the little Clio for what it is. Not one mention of build quality issues so far.
