I'm 90% sure the hubs/brakes etc are off the meggy. It has the same double axis wishbone set up. Imo it will fit. There is alot of room round the baulkhead area (for the turbo imo ;)) If you want any under bonnet pics just ask and i'll sort some this week :)
There is no cold start fix. As we all know, sometimes they are fine, sometimes not. I put money on the 197 in question was having a foo day after the re map. Give it a month ;) It was the same with my 172 and 182.......
For me the Turinis let the car down dig time. It looked soooooo much better on the 182 Cup rims. Either put them back on, or Anthricite the Turini's..... be a winner then
Possibly. The RR that BenR and GDI use, read my old 172 Cup out at 190, and thats before the cams and things were fitted!!! That was Grp N ecu, Maxogen, decat, cat back prospeed, inlets etc. Always was a goodun though. Better than the 182 that replaced it imo
PMSL at this thread!!! Roid rage!!!!!
Anyway AG tar remover is fine. I tend to squirt the stuff from the bumpstrips down, in a line along each panel. Leave 5 mins, and watch the tar just melt away. Then i tend to re wash the car, and SRP/EGP. I find clay is a bit heavy ahnded imo, as the tar...
Excellent cars the Cup, best Renaultsport Mk2 Clio. My old ones in there, post 9 ;)

Tricky one. I'm fussy with exhausts. If they sound s**t/too loud they go!!!! I got rid of a ktec stealth as it sounded w**k, sooooo raaaaaaaspy. I was embarrassed (sp) to drive the thing tbh. Lasted a week. In my experience a silenced de cat will have no marked affect, only the proper cat will...
Fixed mine with a cable tie. Drill a hole for the tie near that staple, then undo the cowel so you can get at it underneath, loop the tie through the cowel where the clip used to go, then through the gaiter, zip it up. Refit cowel, Job done.
Agree with the last statement 100% If you use the cup as a B road weapon, imo you can't beat some Ebaich pro lines. Hardly drops the car, so keeps the long suspension travel for all the bumps, but stiffens it more than the standard set up. I really liked it, but just wanted my Cup lower as im a...
Fair enough each to their own an' all :) I hated mine, made my Cup pogo all over the place, on any setting. Think BenR did some tests on the Gaz shocks and the damping was all over the shop. The rear dampers also are noisy in operation, clunking etc. I had two sets exactly the same.
Ah, yep the Meggy F1 is a good choice too!!! Think the MK2 clios would feel pre historic inside to you (build etc). The newer Renaults are a LOT better :) Bloody hell they've come down in price, paid more for the 197 lol!!
Well i've had 3 sets of H&R's over the years. Set for my 172 Cup, then on my 182 and now some on my 197. I love em tbh, so refined for road use. I had the mis fortune of getting a set of cheap coilovers (GAZ) before hand, and they ruined the car compleatly. Think the Bilstein kits are a wee bit...
