I've done 55K now, and the pads/discs have never been changed on the back. I figure change them now and they will be good for ages.

is there an issue with the silicone based fluids needing topping up frequently?

.... i'm bitting the bullet and buying my parts for upgrading my brakes tomorrow. I'm looking for a set up which will suit general day to day, fast road and occassional track work. The items i'm set on so far is; Brembo HC GSF (if they do them :S) New rear discs from Ktec Standard rear pads...

why do they need painting? They look ok, just bent inwards. I'll give it a mallet job tomorrow then :)

Took the car into get the wheel balanced the other day and noticed that the jacking point is really bent. Can they be replaced? If so, is it an easy job?

welcome to renault ownership. Heatshield is a usual one, or loose engine cover (if you have one). Rattles usually come from the exhaust i've found from mine.

there is a lot of post on here about botched cambelt jobs mate, even from dealers. Could be that. Did you have the aux belt done at the same time?

Just rang GSF for a quote on some HC brembo and they said they dont stock them? Are the brakes on the webby for the 2.0 16V definately Brembo HC?

i know that CNC heads on stockport do it. They are very reputable. 800quid, but thats just for the polishing/porting. You would have to remove and fit yourself. You will probably notice a bit of a difference, but not as much compared to if you have a turbo/supercharger fitted.
