Just shows how opinions differ. Burp felt the H&R's were way too soft on the rear. I felt they were pretty well balanced. There's no reason a well set-up coilover system should be outperformed by the oem units. In fact, I'd say they were badly set-up if that's the case.
Drive one! Massively different!
I'd drive both then decide which you prefer. Trophy owner's will say Trophy. 197 owner's will say 197. You're very unlikely to get an unbiased opinion.
The 197 will be nicer to live with, but pricier (worse mpg than a Mini Cooper S Works!!)
I'd imagine the...
If you go too low, bump steer becomes an issue. Mine's not exactly low, but the handling's great.

Flol. Get some decent rubber on the back. And double lol at the 1*2's being twitchy. 205gti, 306rallye, those cars have a twitchy back end. The 1*2's, you can take silly liberties with.
Not true that coilovers don't work. The kw's are slightly softer than a trophy, but can be made much firmer in a minute for track work. H&r's also work very well, but too many people bung themon with minimal setup, then wonder why they don't work. People should worry less about going low tbh.
Offer? I'm not selling lol. If you aren't fussed with going low, Koni's seem like the best option.
Really good article written by Yoz

Covers all the options, from just springs through to fully adjustable...
Finally, someone see's the light. The AST's don't work, far too stiff for a light car.
DrRollo, you're not too far from me, more than welcome to try my kw's. There's a set for sale on here for £650.
