PMSL. Euro car parts don't make parts. They only sell parts. And, you get what you pay for. They'll sell all the OE parts, without the Renault, Citroen similar stamp on..

You probably wouldn't get that much I'd say. Even a cheap second hand engine is £350, so you're still looking at the best part of £1k if you do the work yourself. Pointless when you can buy running ones for that!

Chances of knocking it out- slim. If you do, it'll come out in a million bits. I'd cut the cable, and drill the rest out..

Depending on how handy you are with the spanners, there's some proper bargains to be had!

It all depends how far you want to go with it, really. Read up on the Burpspeed car if you want to take it to extreme weight saving! If not that far, trace it back, chop it, tape up loom again..
