I was just having a look at the BP website when I came across this.
Who are they trying to kid: http://www.bp.com/ultimate/uk/testing/testing_procedure.asphttp://www.bp.com/ultimate/uk/testing/testing_procedure.asp
I see its only 97ron over here, instead of the 100ron they get elsewhere.
Myself and y0z thought wed give him a call on our way back from the cinema. We thought hed still be out playing, but there was no answer. All the excitment of the day must have tired the poor chap out. ;)
Mine does it, and they cant fix it. Apparently the fix only takes on 8/10 cars. Its the front suspension strut tops.
I drove another 172 at the weekend and managed to get that to do exactly the same thing.
Wooooohooooooo. Excellent news mate. All that hard work and stress is about to pay off, big style.

172gal, believe me it was noticable. 172s always seem to lack real pull from low revs, but not roamers. It was a neck wrenching ride. You only have to watch the video clips to see how hard it accelerated. Its acceleration is a lot more brutal than a standard 172. I should think Roamers...
Look at jas and chavy, both ready for pipe and slippers and they have valvers.;) Age means nothing as long as you are happy with the car you drive. My old man is enjoying himself in a Celica. Hes into his 50s now.
I take it thats who you are onto now then. ;)
Jesus thats terrible mate. As long as everyone is okay, the car can be replaced.
I really think you should join me for that beer tomorrow night to drown your sorrows.:D
Come to think of it, Im sure mine doesnt make the loud ticking cooling down noise as much as it did.
When its running all I can hear is the deep burble from the exhaust. :D
Buying a new exhaust is an expensive way of getting rid of the hot metal cooling down noise dont you think?
Good luck BikeMan. I really hope you get this sorted out soon.
I agree with you about the ex demo thing, Ive driven many brand new demos as hard as possible without even warming them up!!
Stick to your guns mate and once again, good luck.
Yep, that was mine gaz.
Thats the fella, I think youll be happy with it. I know myself, telford_mike and Hippychick are very happy with ours.
Its very boomy for the first 3-400 miles I found, after that it just sounds spot on. :D
I think the twin round suits the mk2 but I prefer the oval...
Come on, its been at least a 5 days. ;) I need to get some of it clean and in daylight with the splitter on. It currently looks like its been rallying after Santa Pod at the weekend.
At least it has some obvious improvements, I was worried it would just be a way to sell the Cup at a higher price. Look at the end of line 172, were there any more features that could be added to it!! It cant have been a cheap car to produce with all the goodies it had.
Nice to see the...
