The plastic covering on the spring will just be for cosmetics.
As long as the spring is still doing it's job, it'll be fine..
If you're worried, cover it in black tape.

The TDC sensor is located at the top of the gearbox, where the bell housing meets the engine block. Held on by two 10mm bolts. I'm not certain how many wires there are, but I think I've got a spare sensor in the garage..
The sat nav is correct, your car's speedo isn't.
Many variants affect why the speedo reads more than your car is actually going.
Indicated (on speedo) 45mph, is fine in a 40. Indicated 80mph is fine in a 70mph, IME.
I doubt it, but the more powerful servo would make the brakes feel sharper from cold..
Also, keep in mind that you'll probably be going faster in your 182 than in the 1.4, so it's all relative, really..
