For me to be comfy with the wheel and pedals I find third gear is a bit of a stretch for me, Id need a prosthetic limb extension to use that.
It would be nice though. My old man has a Celica and the change in that is perfect. Its just a flick of the wrist (steady:oops:) not the entire upper...

It helps to know who Mycroft is.
And Mycroft would have explained why our cars a crap and the Soarer is the best car on the road today. His posts keep me occupied for hours. :) They would insist on biting every time too.
Ive just remembered what I did to the dash. I thumped it good and hard. Must have concussed the...
I had the Reno LMET (Little Man Elimination Team) at it the other week. They fixed the seat knocking. The parcel shelf I can live with (its a hatch so I expect it), but Ill most likely have a look over the bank holiday weekend. Might just want some padding out at the corners to hold it still...
Mine must be a fidgety little git, he keeps moving around the car. He likes the boot, but from time to time loves the dashboard just behind the display!!!
At least weve got this cleared up now. I thought there was a skeleton in a biscuit tin cracking one off in my boot!!! :D
I did mine a week ago. The car was less than a month old. I was gutted.
Got it fixed last Friday. You cant tell its ever been touched. I took it to a S.M.A.R.T place that do bumps, scratches, alloys, fag burms etc. They said it could take up to 4 hours, but actually took a little over an...
I had a taxi go into the side of my Rover 200 Vi a few years back. My insurance company wrote it off as it was shaped like a banana according to the repair place. It looked like an easy repair to me, but they pointed out that the frame was bent as the front wing linings no longer met up with...
I took it easy for the first 625, then built it up to 1000 miles. I reckon Ill get an oil change at 3000 miles. They say its not needed, but its peace of mind for me.
Ive just filled up. My trip computer showed I had around 30 miles worth of fuel left, the fuel gauge was resting on the red, and the tank only took 39 litres to fill it!!
Ive just counted 13 new minis on the way home!! And of course a load of Clios. Usually see a couple of 172s a day, but they drive the same route as me.
No matter what type of driving I do Im seeing between 32 and 36 mpg. God its impressive. Ive never had a car travel that could achieve that sort of figure.
I took my boss to collect his 307 HDI D Turbo from Motorpoint on Friday. Its a handsome looking car, and very well built. Equipment levels are also pretty high.
Hes had the car almost a week now, and has just put his second tank of diesel in. He managed 520 miles on the first tank, but...
This "sounds" familiar. Mine was doing something similar on the way to work this morning. I gave the dash a good thump which has stopped it a little. Ill investigate more later.
Now looking like Ill have to get someone to come out and do it while Im at work on Monday. I thought Saturday would be a busy day for them, but none were open round here.
Gary, weve had a few discusions about this recently. VivJ is having trouble because her book isnt stamped by the supplying dealer and the car has yet to have its first service. Mine is the same.
You mentioned the number from the back page of the service book? Is that the sticker on the back...
Thanks guys. Ill go get it sorted tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
Im still f****d off that I did it in the first place. Never done it to one of my company cars, but do it to my own!!!
Come one guys, I dont like shamelessly bumping threads :)
Suppose Ill have to go and make sure the Becks brewery arent in danger of going out of business and deal with this tomorrow .
Ive just caught one of my wheels on a stupid over hanging kerb while pulling up to outside a cash point.
Its not too bad, but the fact that I know its there is bad enough.
Has anyone had experience with having a scatched alloy wheel repaired? Its a bit late now for me to start calling...
This morning I had my first real encounter of Renault main dealer service.
I got there for 8, and all was done by 10. They were friendly helpful and courteous. Not once did the fact my car was an import get mentioned.
Just for a change, heres a nice post about a main dealer. Sutton Park...
Mmm, Ill have a look tomorrow. Im off to Derby so Im bound to find a decent bit of road to try it out on.
Whenever it came on, I shifted around 7200 I reckon. As I said, I was watching the road more than the dash.
For now Ill consider myself lucky it works at all :)
I do a 40 mile round trip to work each day. But the Midlands to Heathrow was what did it for me. Its really starting to loosen up now.
Mine is in tomorrow for the seat rattle and external temperature gauge.
