pro's and cons. 182 will be newer, i think there are MUCH better exhausts available.....i quite like the anthricite 182 cup alloys too...... 172 Cup looks the best in standard form, (imo) better lighter alloys, gorgeous colour (not a fan of inferno, racing blue is ok mind). Also the 182 cup gets...
Mk2 ph1 has the same engine/ECU set up as a ph2. The valvers etc were more old school. As you said if cammed and ITB yes, but if standard..... no. Mine never has (remapped) and i've had many decatted exhausts on mine ;)
Not a chance. Not one 172 decatted has flamed/popped/banged that i've had or seen. They just don't. Old valvers/williams yes, but not a 172 (unless ITB'D ;))

soz about the hazy info not sure on the models :o
any help would...
Seriously. Just the obvious, make sure its straight etc. Bonnet catch is NOTHING to worry about. Check it has window etchings, alarm and alloy wheel locking nuts.... if it doesnt its an import (few about) Service due at 32k etc
Really liking the 197's. A few pics of lowered ones are coming through now, look stunning. Might have a look myself when they come to the 10k mark......
