There's a washer (about 3mm thick) in between the runner and the subframe. Remove it and the driving position is even better. Doesn't serve a function IIRC.
I think the bolts are already attached to the subframe, just undo them. The nuts to attach the subframe to the car, are the one's already in use on the car, just re-use them.
Those 2 bolts are for attaching the seatbelt/pretensioner to the subframe. You need an additional 8 bolts (4 each seat) for attaching the subframe to the car.
I can't remember the strength required (Paul told me), but they are cheap on ebay.
Have you removed all the screws(included the ones under the dash strips, and the plastic clip above the fuse box),, and have you removed the a-pillar covers?
