How much fitted? I would attempt it, but I don't want to break my car, exhaust/seats about as far as I can go. I'll pop over after I've had the AST's fitted, you can show me how they should be driven.
The GT ones have the thumbgrips, but not in that stupid plastic/rubber that falls apart if you look at it. What does the airbag say on the wheel, SRP? If so, should be a direct fit. It's the same shape etc, so even if the wiring's different could just put the old airbag unit in the new wheel.
You can't see the looks from the drivers seat. Mizin cars. Get an old school mini, engine transplant, insure as a kit car. Uber cheap, cool as f**k, won't look chavvy.
Trophy was great, but didn't feel I could do much mods wise without hitting the value hard. All the money I got from the Trophy will be going into this, so should be fun.
Sorry bud, think the basic shape was crap, can't polish a turd. Remeber a road test a few years back, utterly handed it's ass handling wise by a dc2. I know they're quick, but massively over-priced. IMO. What would I know, I drive a 3tone clio ffs.
Ph1 172, flame red, only 50k miles. 5hr journey to get it. Will get pics up when it's, erm, fixed;).
They feel quite different to ph2 172, much rawer, better throttle response, sounds different too. So far I'm liking, should be even better after a visit to powerstation on Thursday.
(My fifth RS...
With the exception of the mini, none of them are great cars. Hell, the CTR is probably the only hot hatch with less steering feel! Trophy's already down as an all time great. Hasn't been any version of the 197 (yet) that will.
Interesting that on renaultsport there's a few people looking to trade 197's in for trophy's/182's. Main complaint (there words) "having to rev the tits off it just to keep up with normal cars".
