Colour was black rock, with anthracite suede patches.
Fitting is 4 bolts per side, quite easy.
Not sure about the resistor, I think you would need resistors as the wiring is the same regardless.
I'm gonna wait on the group buy, see what price we can get them for.
Think a lot of Halfrauds big stores sell them, so you could prob try them there? If you're round Brum at all, good friend of mine has this set up (I sold my 182), so you could prob have a nose around his. I ordered them direct from Cobra, but I think there was a thread somewhere about a possible...
As for price, it was more than they charge now. With fitting it was about £800! If fitting yourself, and buying now, think you could do it for under £600.
Got sub-frames from Cobra. Wasn't to confident when I got the car, so paid a motorsport company to fit them (£100). But, having seen how it's done, I'd do it myself, probably a few hours work. It's easier as you don't have side airbags.
Just noticed you have a 182cup, as I did. The Cobra fabric actually looks more standard than the Recaro's, because you don't get alcantara on the door cards etc.
I've tried a few different seats in the clio's. Personally I wouldn't go for Recaro's, great seats but as they use the original sub-frame, they don't lower the driving position enough. I went for Cobra Daytona's. I have a really bad back, and they are the only seats I've sat in that I could sit...
Used to live in Cutnall Green. Went for a drive the other night with Riz, Droitwich>Kiddie>Birmingham. Evil pothole on the Island leading to the Kiddie road, we both lost the back end, unintentional drifting!
Never driven a Trophy in anger, but always read that the 182 w/cup packs was more adjustable, but the Trophy far more controlled and balanced (and quicker), so would expect it to be difficult to slide (at road speeds).
Just had Eibach Pro's fitted, couldn't believe the difference it made. Had Sportline's on my 182, personally I'd go for the Pro's, the ride is better than standard and makes a massive improvment to the handling. Sporline's are lower, but the ride does get a bit agitated.
Thanks for that Craig. As it stands at the moment, 2modified are cheaper than the others we have spoken with, even without any discount!
I have heard back from them about a group buy and they have said they can do a small discount for us, but they are actually the cheapest in the country so...
The Maserati Quattroporte is, quite frankly, a gourmet slut – Nigella Lawson with the moral compass of Abi Titmuss.
Genius. Jimmy Carr should be on Top Gear every week.
