Gave the 172 a once over today and thought Id take some pics - not posted any for a while.
Not done anything to the engine for a while but my angelworks manifold is arriving this week so gonna get it highly polished then fitted - want some samcos and a strut brace but here it is at the...
- thanks for the comment Al
I was only asking what people thought - If anything they would go on my wifes clio - wouldnt touch my car! she likes all the chavy stuff lol!
I would not bother - youll need the tracking adjusted but if only using springs I would not worry about the camber - Itll be more aggresive than standard as when you lower you get a more negative camber but it shouldnt be too bad.
he has spent £1500 on the engine and 4-5 thousand in total on the cars modifications not 4-5 grand on the engine.
Looks good - good choice of mods - should be a good all rounder
he has a 182 to start with but I agree those claims are a little high - I would expect more around the 190bhp mark - I have a 172 with sports cat, full exhaust, hill power induction kit, my manifold is being matched as we speak and then having a group n chip and hopefully expect to get about 185bhp.
I have these for sale as well - bought them on ebay - have been reconned badly and also got chipped in delivery - not in bad nick just need a refurb which costs approx £160 - anyone wants them Ill accept £200
Are ET38 7x17
didnt mention this happened at 4.00am - he came to my house specifically to get my strips - my wife also has a clio but her stips are not painted. He is known by the police for doing this regularly and is also a drug addict so has reason to steal them. The kid ran off with them in his hand as...
i agree he needs a hiding!
Yeah that got me too - If I go and rob a car will I get away with it too then or is that only if you are under 16! If so ill get my 9yr old on the case for me!
Brian - I had not heard of this tyoe of insurance before - I would definately get it if its only that sort...
my tyres are well out of the arches but when coming off speed bumps etc the outside of the tyres used to catch on the arches with ET37 - no probs at all with et37 - with eibac pros i had no problem but with coilovers lowered approx 50mm it rubbed but if you aint going low then id keep the ultralegs
About 6 months ago I had the bumpstrips stolen off my 172 and about 6 dents added to my car in the process - all was sorted that week as FCS was the following weekend and cost me £400 to sort out
Anyway in the process of robbing my parts the little c**t left some blood on my door which the...
the et 45 will probably fit better than the et37 - if you lower it lots the back tyres will catch the arches with et37 - I like the Ultras but they would have to be ET42 or above
lowest spring youll find for a 172 is 40mm as far as im aware - if you want any lower you'll have to get coilovers. you can get 60mm for non 172 but not a 172. 40mm is low enough in my opinion. mines lowered about 50mm on coilovers and it has lost some of its handling qualities due to being...

there you go - Its the same one as Meguairs sell in America - only with a Meguairs sticker instead of a Porter Cable sticker. Apparently Meguiars are working on a British version which will be available early next year but need one for...
