makes no odds, its a 2.0 16v engine, not a highly tuned turbo car thats been mapped specifically for v power like my old impreza, the 172 runs just fine on normal unleaded. save your money.
i bought my red ph1 172 a few weeks back, full mot, 6m tax, excellent condition, brand new shocks and eibach springs fitted by previous owner, new discs and pads, mint interior, 104k, documented history, had just been serviced, drives perfect, i paid £1800, which i thought was great value for...
i paid 1800 for my ph1 172, had it a month, cracking car, owned a williams 3 and a cup in the past, wanted something cheap and quick to run around in and eventually track, think they are great value at the moment if u buy a well looked after example, and they are great fun to drive, williams...
i think the gains from the inlets make it the next must do mod tbh, from what iv read on here the ph1 inlets are the worst of the bunch so a nice ported set should make it a worthwhile mod.
yeah i have pm'd tom at jms about getting upper and lower inlets as i need them posting as too far away from me. exhaust is unknown cat back stealth system.
8-) lol. a k&n replacement filter in the airbox. could be the start of a slippery slope. car has new 172 cup shocks and eibach springs just fitted, but this is my first mod since i bought it couple of weeks ago. so what next, matched inlets and a decat?
been going to falkland for years, taken my clio 16v, williams, cup and 3 imprezas there for work, always been spot on, been going for over 15 years. ask for kev.
iv just bought a k&n panel filter for my ph1 172 airbox, maxogen would be nice but funds dont allow atm. on ebay new for £30 just now from a powerseller, bargain.
iv just bought a k&n filter for the airbox, thinking about a decat from ktec and their ported inlets, dont really want to go mad with it just help it breathe a bit bitter and free up a few ponies, would be rude not to. so impressed with the handling, no roll at all, just point and go, great...
my uk turbo was a low mileage pristine example which i modded to 305bhp with a hybrid turbo, andy forrest remap, h&s full decat, ported headers etc, was a very quick car, obviously the power and accelaration was more brutal than the clio, but the clio handles much better being so small feels...
after a few years of scooby ownership, (3 classics) i am back in a renaultsport clio. just bought this. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2313159.htm and i have to say, i am delighted with it, its a cracking little car, drives superbly, feels like a little go kart, lovely seats, really...
hi, yes belts were done at 76k 3 years ago. he also has a yozzasport cat back stealth exhaust which is new but not yet fitted he wants extra for, are they any good? does a decat make any difference, what about panel filter, chips etc.
