ledgend that really helps. Thanks mate. I need to get costing this up.
What did you do for engine mounts?
I saw a 20v for sale on ebay a while ago that had clio mounts already on it. They looked like "off the Shelf" mounts to me. Does anyone actually make them or is it a custom Fabrication job?
No idea about your vibrations mate.
If it's not engine mounts then what can it be?
As for your suspension knock, I'd say don't jump straight for the top mounts. Could be ball joints or wishbone bushes or something.
Best of luck.
I hate busses too. All they ever do is make me late
hes been about for ages. Essentially, Hes some guy who does police chases for fun on his INSANE bike.
Doubt he will ever get caught as nothing the bobbies have got can keep up. On the air or on the road.
leg-end if you ask me
without the grease in the CV joint, the joint will not last!! I personally wouldnt drive it more than 10 miles, and I'd go softly. You don't want a Worn CV, Then it'll be a new shaft. 50 or 60 quid if you can do it yourself. Plenty more if you cant.
I'm having trouble selling my MK1, and im looking at my finances and other possibilities.....
I'm thinking of a Volkswagen Group 1.8 20v Turbo into my MK1. Originally fitted to Leon Cupras, Audi TTs, A4s and many others.
I know that 20vs are awesome. iirc they can take nearly 300bhp on the...
If you want a turbo in a clio. IMHO a VAG 1.8 20v is a better option. Cheaper and easier to tune.
Having said that. more than 200bhp in a front wheel drive clio daily driver is pushing it a bit.
.....and having said all of that, im considering a 20v into my Mk1
I agree. I used to like to hear the fuel pump prime on my Mk1, cant hear it so much on the 172 but I still do it. It's good to see if you get any faults up etc.
If its blowing at the manifold join then the above kit is definitely what your after. It shouldnt really blow. I've had experiences with a few of those renault manifold downpipe joins and they seem fine
