I've had a good few ph2's and I can't remember them revving that much, though maybe it's because my 197 is pretty noisey and I've got a memory like a fish.

I had an 03 plate 2.2 laguna derv which was meant to be 150bhp. I was always told it was a Nissan engine as I believe the Primera had the same unit but i'm no expert.
Regardless of what it was it was fine when I had it and never had a single issue.
Is this the same engine as they put in the Laguna? If so its a Nissan unit. I had one in a Laguna and it never caused and issues, infact it was quite a good engine I thought.
