    Throttle Bodies ECU question (again)

thats pretty much what I have. I wouldn't drive far on a gen90 base map. Maybe from the garage to a trailer!

    Throttle Bodies ECU question (again)

For ease of fitment and reverting back to standard there's no doubt the gen90 would suit you best. there is a price to pay though.

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

Ah right, so the rolling radius is different Chip? Assume thats 195/50

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

I've had a good few ph2's and I can't remember them revving that much, though maybe it's because my 197 is pretty noisey and I've got a memory like a fish. I guess the main difference was you could drive a 1*2 off cam at a good speed on the motorway and achieve decent mpg, whereas the 197 at...

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

    Just tried it in the 197. 6th @ 70mph is 3600rpm and 80 is 4100 rpm.

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

I don't see why it wouldn't in 6th tbh, it's so bloody short. Edit - reply to Sam.

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

I have both on my driveway. 6th in a 197 at 70 is doing more revs than the 172. The 197 box is much nicer to use though, i'll give you that!

    197 Gearbox in a 182 :S

And be doing 6x more revs because of the stupid ratios.

    172 mk2 ph1 exhaust fit mk2 ph2

It depends what type of Cat the Ph1 had. If it had the twin barrel, twin lambda, then yes.

Throttle bodies using standard 182 ECU?

Just to add to this, I bought a lot of the stuff that Russ used on his and it sat on my shelf for about 18 months. I sold it all to a local guy who did get his car up and running again on it all after a bit of leg work. As far as I'm aware it didn't run perfectly but he got a full tb setup for...

New Clio 182 Series - 750 Motor Club

This is a real shame for me, as a 'mk2 RS' series could have great potential. Why it's restricted to a 182 variant on an aftermarket ecu and shoddy coilovers is beyond me. Still, for those willing, I suspect it's a laugh.

    Berg all clean :)

Very odd. Has it had a replacement driveshaft at all?

    Renault Espace 2.2 DCi

I must've got lucky with it then by the sounds of things!

    Renault Espace 2.2 DCi

I had an 03 plate 2.2 laguna derv which was meant to be 150bhp. I was always told it was a Nissan engine as I believe the Primera had the same unit but i'm no expert. Regardless of what it was it was fine when I had it and never had a single issue.

    Berg all clean :)

Looks great but the front wheel is spaced more on the nearside than the offside?

    Renault Espace 2.2 DCi

Is this the same engine as they put in the Laguna? If so its a Nissan unit. I had one in a Laguna and it never caused and issues, infact it was quite a good engine I thought.

    clio 197 lambda sensor

Hi Neil. It might be injector related, but your best bet is to run it up to a specialist that knows what they are talking about.

    Cam belt change (pic)

Did you assume we were all phsycic then, as the picture tells a very different story to what you've said above.

    Cam belt change (pic)

Nothing is difficult about it, you just need to know of the correct way to do it and the correct set of tools.

Clio 197 - Carbon Fibre Pack

A dealer has to pay his costs somehow. I agree you'd find cheaper privately but it's a choice you have I guess.

    Yozza decat question

That's a 182 decat not a 172 decat. Ktec told me they were getting stock this week but by that time i'd ordered a Miktek.

Clio 197 - Carbon Fibre Pack

With it being an 2006 car the belts should've been done on 2011 anyway.

Clio 197 - Carbon Fibre Pack

Horses for courses, I prefer the standard seats for daily use. £6k seems reasonable from a dealer to me but as someone else has said, check belts have been done.

    leaking cam end seal

I've used the ones you get on ebay. I'd frown on that usually, but i've never had any issues with them. I think they are about £6 for the pair.

Ah right. So i just remove all the piping and cap it off?

    Jon's Trackday PH1 172 project thread

Yeah, I've never read up on removing it, but its on the to do list at some point. Flip flops are the future Andy! Sliced my finger in two, bled like a b*****d!

    The £800 stop gap car.

Lot's of the faults associated with these are pretty simple fixes thankfully. The climate panel was always a dry solder on the board and the keycards were fixed via a guy online for £20 a pop. The one issue I never sorted on ours was the rear wiper (estate model). Next time you follow one you'll...
