Fuel line (ask a stupid question)

Thanks Andy. By the way, it already had 172 injectors in it. The part numbers are the same. I'll try a set of Megane injectors if I can find some at a decent price.

    Want this 200. Really bad.

For me personally, I'd go with this as well. Especially if you can trace history. I've noticed quite a few MK3's have had multiple owners, probably down to the type of car and the fuel they go through.

Fuel line (ask a stupid question)

When the itb's got fitted the clip that plugs into the renault fuel rail got cut off flush with the metal insert in the pipe (just behind the clip). I want to go back to the renault fuel rail so I've bought 2 new clips from Ktec. My issue here is that the metal insert is now flush with the end...

    clio 197 F1

If I may, I think it's luck more than anything. My wife's had a new gearbox at 26k. lol. You may well find at 90k it's fine and dandy because it's already been swapped out.

    clio 197 F1

I'm well aware of 197 problems. My current one is slightly over 60k and has had none of the problems you mention. I'd agree it's well worth checking for them, but to assume every car has them is a little unfounded. Protecting the interest of the forum? No, it's part of my job to read the...

    clio 197 F1

If you assume the gearboxes and seats are fcuked in all of them then you've obviously been looking at the wrong cars. That's the second negative MK3 post you've made today.

    New shoes

I think the Laguna alloys work really well on the 197 and would probably fool 99% of people.

    clio 197 F1

Your Fiesta will appeal to a very limited audience and an F1 at around £6k is good value to me. I'd be biting his hand off.

    R-Sport - Because Racecar?

Nice. Does need a cage though IMO, especially if you plan to track it often.

    Fiesta ST at Goodwood

I know, such a shame. I think I'd be in and around the 1.32's. Next time Mark, next time!

    Fiesta ST at Goodwood

Interesting Mark. Dave was doing 1.38.4's in his Golf fairly consistently this year and i've got you down as a 1.39 there on road tyres? My Clio was doing 1.35's last year on the standard engine, but decent tyres and suspension, so i'm pretty impressed with that little Fiesta! I wished I'd have...

    My Ph1 at Goodwood

Total disaster! I had high hopes for a day's lapping, especially after the recent upgrades. Sadly the car decided to develop a nasty misfire/stutter in the morning. We tried in vain to sort it all out, but we didn't manage to sort it. I'd packed up and left by about 2.30pm. I managed one half...

Thoughts on this ph1 track car

The fact that the cage is there and welded in saves you a small fortune. I paid more than this entire car just for my cage and fitting.

£1500? Thats a bloody bargain. EDIT - Also that trailer is far too cheap!!!

    Boot locking/unlocking fault

Im not sure what model your car is but it sounds like the car isn't recognising the boot opening. First port of call would be the switch and the wiring to it.

Sending the husband to look at this

Anybody would think it was a £10k car. For £1850 it looks fine to me. :)

Cup Alternator... part number? (small sticker on alternator)

Bump for this as it's a useful thread. Current options seem to include: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RXB00400-LRB00400-/360670309011?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53f9a02a93 £95.99 delivered or...

    197 rear disks.

Ive got to fit a pair at the weekend. Is it the same process as the 172's?

I just use a large screwdriver or something to line up the bolt holes. Usually works fine.

    Throttle Bodies ECU question (again)

My bad. It's £1206 delivered + mapping, so you're probably right at £1500 for basic up and running.

    Throttle Bodies ECU question (again)

I totally agree that for a plug and play product it's of reasonable value and for retaining all those features you mention then it's great. 'Anywhere near as good' is questionable. As Chip has mentioned, others have certain other benefits over the Gen90 and I suspect 90% of people couldn't...

    Throttle Bodies ECU question (again)

Keep telling yourself its worth it! If you can find someone to map it (lol!) I've got a weber alpha ecu and loom in my garage you could have for £150!
