Always use new locknuts if you take the old ones off! Unless Its a split pin nut. Lesson learnt, no harm done

only thing I would have trouble with is sourcing a set of shells with tags. tbh I haven't seen many dci's spin shells unless badly serviced

Just a thought, I've been asked if the rods have slots for the bearing. i know the DCI 65/80 don't have toothed big end bearings.... need to find out if the mk3 platform DCI lumps run toothed bearings and the same size big end.
