Police didn't want to know.
I discovered what had happened a couple of days later, so there wasn't much they could do. If I wanted to take it further, I'd have to contact my insurance and claim-as I wanted to sell the car and didn't want to risk having a no fault claim on my policy, I bit the...
Many 197's kangaroo when cold unless you get it remapped, I hated ours when it did it. The 200 was better.
Both cars needed bottom ball joints, and engine/gearbox mounts, one had a new gearbox and a cracked manifold repaired. The cup had Recaros which wore fast as did the peeling steering...
Well, I haven't 100% decided on a Civic yet!!
My ST is going and I need a car I can comfortably get 3 adults in for car sharing to work. I also don't want to spend more than £3000.
My wife sold her ST (did 2000 miles a year but was worried about the car being stolen or car jacked-eventually she...
Did a renewal for my Fiesta and it's £270, re-did the one for a Civic with 9000 miles pa instead of 12000 and 9 years NCB (had put 8 for some reason) get quotes for £274 now!
That's mad! A Clio 182 and a Fiesta ST are less of a risk than a Civic? Is that because most Civic owners have a trilby and a box of tissues on the parcel shelf :grinning: ?
What going on with car Insurance?
My wife and I are both 49, driving for over 30 years, full NCB, clean licence etc.
Wife has gone form a new Fiesta ST2 to a Clio 182, £208 per annum (Fiesta was about £240)
I have a new Fiesta ST2 and pay about £262 (Insured for 12000 miles per annum). I'm...
Getting 40mpg out of my Fiesta ST2, but miss the Clio sports (had 5 in total!).
Wife has an Audi TT at the moment, but said a couple of weeks ago, she wants an inferno 182!
If you're handy with a multi meter, I have the pin out for the airbag ecu plug.
Basically, you check 2 wires at a time (from memory, they are opposite each other on the plug) and you should get approx 3 ohms on all airbags/pre tensioners. Side impact sensors are several mega ohms.
I did my...
Yeah, fair enough for being liable for the damage, but it's proving who's at fault without evidence.
If it was me, I'd be right pxxsed off, but more concerned about the points on my licence.
Thanks for the positive reply, trying to help this guy out!
If there's no CCTV, no reliable witnesses, and it's not on the queen's highway, surely an offence hasn't been committed as far as the police are concerned?? So no points or court appearance??
May sound an odd question, but what state is your battery in?
My son's clio had a flat battery and after being charged it did the same, need a reset (can't find the thread at the moment, but is something like ign on, off, lock doors with keyfob, open doors and start car????)
My 20 year old step son had a Clio 1.2, he bought my old RS200 cup and was shocked when he had to pay £200 to get it serviced as I was pxxsed off with maintaining his cars while he sat on his Xbox!
I bought his 1.2 off him for my 18 year old step son (when he passes his test, 4 attempts so far}...
Track rod ends. inner tie rods, steering rack bushes (caused my steering wheel to be a few degrees out, then a bump later it was ok!), worn tyres, broken spring (made a massive different to my cars steering)???
